Saturn PS2 pads out of stock?

Post by Frederik »

I am sorry if this came up already, but haven`t seen it yet...

..So, how come both Lik-Sang and Play-Asia are completely out of stock on Saturn PS2 / USB controllers? Pretty high demand maybe, seing as I want a new one after I lost my last one, but they are out of stock for maybe a month or two. At least those are the two shops I bought stuff from, never bothered to look further. They are still producing them, or are they?

So if you know any good online shop that has one of those in stock, I would be really thankful! :)

I just ordered one from here:

http://www.ncsx.com/

I think they may have some left, but only the "vampire version" purple one.

The Vampire Savior pad is PlayStation only and not USB compatible. If you're after using this device for the PC via USB, I suggest you opt for the PC Joybox 3in1 which is still available at Play-Asia and get a Saturn pad (relatively available and affordable). The adapter and controller should cost you still less than the $40 you'd pay for either the Vampire Savior or USB pads.

Thank you guys, I was considering those original Saturn pads, and maybe one or two third-party one as they are really cheap on Lik-Sang. I don`t remember the Saturn Ps2 or USB pad being so pricey!

They aren't all that expensive to be honest. I've got both the PS2 and PC USB Saturn-like pads and have never been happier with them for day-to-day shmupping. With a convertor, you might risk input delay.

Oh, man, I'd never known about these Saturn PS2 pads until two days ago, but now I want them IMMENSELY BADLY, and can't find them available anywhere. Is there anything I can do?

It seems there has been a rather steep jump in the price. This guy is asking for $100:

I doubt he'll get it, though.

I've got the Darkstalkers pad and for me the pad was quite dissapointing, I expected more of it. I'm sticking to my NeoGeo Pad2 (NeoGeo CD style).
