Is that a missed ship around 9:22? For shame!

yea it says tool assisted meaning they run the emulation super slow to get perfect control and response and on top of that the guy uses save states so he can retry and get the perfect run.
in the end he merges all the video and there you have a perfect run.

And in 25:30. While it's pretty entertaining to watch, I don't see the point of making a 100% kill run with an emulator if you're not going to get absolutely every enemy. Most of those he missed could easily have been either killed or avoided altogether by taking a different route.Twiddle wrote:Three of them, actually, and it's in 9:03.
Oh, there's also a missed one in 7:22.

That tool assisted replay isn't mine. The other with only speedups and e.laser is. And I can't believe that people still can't tell a tool-assisted replay from a real one. Besides I'm kinda regretting that I ever made that movie. Just because that one tool-assisted movie many ignorant people somehow think that all my other achievements are not legit.
I would be greatful if someone with the right knowledge could turn my real Gradius 3 Mame replay (speedups only) into an avi and send it to Youtube or somewhere else.

Same here. It's interesting to see just what is technically possible in these games, but that's about it.Belmont wrote:Fun watch but i never get to excited about tool assisted runs.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
