Ganelon asked about a rumor of "JP players use 1 character", and I said it wasn't true. Big argument. Surprised a moderator didn't jump in.

Yeah, I was just curious about this point since so many people assumed it to be the truth as a reason for why they seem to handle even counter-characters so well. I asked Gaijin about it, who's been to arcades in Japan and had a chance to see top JP players, and I guess they just put in a hell of a lot more time into the game to be dominant in one character but proficient in a few.

As for this question having nothing to do with your topic question, oh well. I saw a tangent point and stuck it in.

I'm a wannabe Japanese internet person?

News to me. I'm barely aware of the Japanese fighting "scene" beyond the fact that it exists, and I don't think it's possible for me to care less about it (gaming scenes as a whole seem quite ridiculous to me no matter what side of the world they're on). I just think creating a thread to tell people that you bought a game and then saying "WHO CARES?!" when people start discussing the game is really, really asinine.

man everyone knows that game boards arent for discussing gameplay and such, its for telling everyone the shit you bought posting pics of your latest custom cab, everyone really cares.

who do you think you are?

anyway, seems a lot of bullshit myths gather around VF4, just look when 400 morons jump in to say how deep vf4 is cause its the hip thing to do, while having not the slighest clue on why that is.
im not trying to bash vf4 which is probably an awesome game if you live in japan (ie: where you wont play it by yourself) but people, next time you feel thee burning rage of having to post "vf4 is soo deep zomg" ask yourself if you would know anything about it if you didnt sit trought the tutorrial mode.

yes, im bitter, and namco should do this kind of stuff in their games, would prevent useless debates by people that know nothing, i mean, ive ever seen people, when beeing asked why vf4 evo was deep, reply with some babble about the quest mode..

You're right, I don't have to defend myself, nor should I. You just seem to have a thing for proclaiming that nobody cares about anything that doesn't come directly from you.

*waits for you to reply to this with "nobody cares" or "who cares" yet again*

ANYWAY

Vagrant, I've been playing VF since the original showed up in arcades. By the time VF4:Evo showed up with its tutorial mode, I was already very used to the depth of the game, and had been for the better part of a decade. Although a lot of people got into VF with part 4, quite a few have been sticking with it for a lot longer.
