www.ncsx.com might have them, and they are pretty reliable.

I love ncsx and i know they're reliable but they charge a bit more than play-asia for the 360. Shipping is slightly more expensive at P-A thought, but it still more expensive at ncsx.dave4shmups wrote:www.ncsx.com might have them, and they are pretty reliable.

I have the game now. Too bad I'm not in my house playing it. I didn't even get a chance to open the box it was in
.
I'll probably say a few things after a week of playing it, if my 360 doesn't prove to me I'm not worthy of playing this game by scratching the disc because I'm a gaijin and not a pure-blooded Japanese.

However, if you live in the US, you will not need to worry about import duties with NCSX. They may be a little more expensive, but their service is absolutely great! If you are interested in saving a few bucks on shipping, just request to have it sent USPS instead of UPS. Believe it or not, they'll do it.genetik wrote:I love ncsx and i know they're reliable but they charge a bit more than play-asia for the 360. can anyone who has the game give a report on the quality of this game in regards to the arcade version.
a few other questions:
* does it play at 60fps?
* how is the online mode, is it playable or are there possibilities of abusing lag or latancy to a certain effect to make the game differ from offline play?
* whats the control scheme on the x360 controller?
* how does it look in HD/widescreen, does it use this or make the game different?(as the arcade original isn't widescreen, right?)
* are there new characters added since the arcade release?
i'd be so happy if someone could help answer these questions!
thanks!

Yes. It even emulates the slowdown found in the NAOMI version.NGKrush wrote:* does it play at 60fps?

Looks like this, regardless of it being widescreen or not. You can change the screen to look like this, but your character can't move any farther back to where the bomb icons are. This is probably because Rev.X's perspective is more zoomed out than the arcade version.NGKrush wrote:* how does it look in HD/widescreen, does it use this or make the game different?
It probably is widescreen.NGKrush wrote:the arcade original isn't widescreen, right?

I own the arcade version, it's standard 4:3 and not widescreen.
Well, been playing this all morning and it seems to be a faithful port to the arcade version with the addition of better graphics, higher resolution, online play, and new costumes. I'm very satisfied with it and would say it's the best 360 release by far. My only gripe is I can't figure out how to change the button config in the controller menu, I'd like to use the DOA4 joystick without manually having to open it up and swap the buttons around. Online play works fine 75% percent of the time with no lag, the other 25% there is a connection error with Japanese players.

It shouldn't be that hard to remap the buttons on that stick, seeing that I was able to do it without a problem. Don't you just hold down the button you want to remap and then press left or right until the highlighted button becomes the command you want?ResOGlas wrote: My only gripe is I can't figure out how to change the button config in the controller menu, I'd like to use the DOA4 joystick without manually having to open it up and swap the buttons around.

With Sega as the publisher for Rev. X, there may actually be a decent chance for us to see them eventually distribute it in other regions. Especially if they look to their decent sales publishing another online-focused niche 360 mech title this month in the west...

Wow is Senko great! But does anyone know how to defeat the final boss in Story Mode? There must be some sort of trick that I have yet to figure out. If anyone can figure it out, please let us know.
Maybe I'll have to wait for it to appear in the Strategy section...(?)

Stage 10 (?) of Story Mode. You know, the boss that completely spams the screen with bullets and only certain attacks hurt him. After you defeat his 1st form (which is rather large), you have to fight a smaller 2nd boss that looks similar to the players' ships. He deals so much damage and interrupts your attacks with his massive amounts of bullets (it is the same on Very Hard as it is on Very Easy, just had to check). Any ideas?

No idea, as I've met this boss only once in Score Attack mode. You're talking about the one where it shoots out a huge purple Beta Beam and then starts rotating around the screen, right?GunSpike wrote:Stage 10 (?) of Story Mode. You can't use that mod to patch the region? Gay.antron wrote:that is a hack on the dvd drive, to play backups. you can't patch the region because the copy won't pass the security inside the 360.Strider77 wrote:what is this flashing the 360 to play imports all about... can someone explain how this works ect?
