Here are some arcade shmup trivia to ponder about...
1.) What were the only two Tate'd arcade shmup titles did Atari Games distribute for the USA arcade market? (Bonus points for naming the correct arcade PCB developer/manufacturer and the year both arcade titles came out.) ^_~
2.) What is the name of this particular arcade shmup title that saw a PSX console release with a hidden NeGcon controller support for the "Z-axis" during gameplay?
3.) What sci-fi movie did the arcade controls present on Atari Games' 1992 arcade game of Space Lords borrow from?

Arcade shmup trivia quiz results...
I thought I'd let our shmuppers who know a lot of obscure shmup trivia mull over my three shmup trivia questions and here are the results:
For gameoverDude,
Your answer to question number 1 is partially correct -- I was hoping that a fellow shmupper would answer with Namco's 1987 Dragon Spirit and Namco's 1992 Fighter & Attacker arcade shmup titles. Plus the fact that Atari Games also released Toaplan's Grind Stormer (aka V-Five in Japan). So there was indeed three arcade Tate'd shmup titles that Atari Games released.
As for question number 3, yes, it's the Last Starfighter that shows the arcade controls that are presented unaltered in the latter released game of Space Lords in 1992. ^_~
For Fro,
gameoverDude is correct with his answer of question number three...Atari Games did work on a raster scan prototype version of "Last Starfighter" arcade game but it was never finished. In fact, Atari Games was the one who made the "Starfighter" arcade cabinet shown in the movie of "The Last Starfighter". I was hoping to be able to play the "Last Starfighter" arcade game but always wondered what happened to it. It was released as an NES game but that really doesn't count when it comes to playing the unreleased arcade game version of "The Last Starfighter".
For Ganelon,
Yes, Xevious 3D/G+ is the PSX port of the original Namco arcade game of Xevious 3D/G and has the hidden NeGcon support for the "Z-axis" of either player 1's or 2's spacecrafts.
