A few years ago I would have said "most Psikyo games". I can't see why now, but I used to think of their games as being rather cheap arsed and "by-the-numbers". After really getting into Dragon Blaze, though, I decided to give the Strikers, Gunbird and Sengoku Ace games another chance, and I was quickly hooked on them. So, without an easy answer (or with an incredibly easy answer, depending on how you chaps feel about this stuff), I suppose I'll go with the previously-mentioned Dooyong releases. Absolutely everything in games like Flying Tiger and R-Shark is slapdash and spiritless, and it really does boggle the mind that these games ever had arcade cabinets lavished upon them...

Oof, Sol Divide. That's a proper Psikyo boo-boo, right there.

I like XII Stag!

I'll agree with another post about Mars Matrix - I never liked that one either.

As far as new games that I hate: Radirgy-Radilgy-Rajiruji or whatever it's called. There are so many things to pick up that it seems a chore rather than fun. Plus the cartoony graphics are irritating. My biggest waste of money.

I would have mentioned Black Heart, but it actually seems popular among hardcore players in Japan. It probably gets mad difficult after a couple of loops..

I thought Thunder Force II, Thunder Spirits, Raiden Trad (SNES), Gradius IV and Darius Twin were all just plain boring, and no fun at all. I don't think I'll ever play any of them again.

Haven't we done a worst of our genre before?

I know stuff like Toilet Kids and TwoTenkaku normally makes the list.

Xenon 2. Why this is considered a classic, I will never understand, because it is the slowest, most mind-numbing shmup that I have ever played.

I imagine most of the people who consider this a classic played Xenon 2 when it first came out. I remember being blown away when i bought this with my Amiga 500. The (sampled!) music, the visuals and the insane weaponry did seem somewhat incredible at the time, then when it came out on the MD a little later it became obvious that it's rather a shoddy game with no substance.

I'd have to say D-Force on the SNES is probably the worst one I've ever played. The whole thing plays like someone got into the mode 7 section of the SNES programming manual while on assorted recreational substances.

I'm assuming you forgot about it, but I'm still eager to hear someone defend Sol Divide (find what I'm missing about it, if there's anything good), have you tried it?

Ghost Pilot's
Gunbird1
Shikigami no Shiro1

Gunbird and Shiki1 aren't terrible but I don't enjoy them that much, Ghost Pilot's is trash thru and thru except the graphic's.

EDIT:I'd also like to note that the sequel's to the other two games mentioned are some of my absolute favirit's

Well, if you go into Sol Divide with any expectations you will be disappointed. I got into it for about a week, then stopped playing it. It has very cheap gameplay, but has a bit of a groove to it. Eventually I'd like to 1cc the sucker. Still pretty bad though.

I would play Sol Divide over any Gunbird and Zero Gunner any day of the week. I like this game and can't see why it's so hated. At least it's cool, I can buy this game for cheap ass. The only Psikyo game I like with Strikers 2.

Anyway, as Rando mentionned, this kind of thread is absolute crap. Everyone is entitled to its own likes and don'ts. So what's the point? I can perfectly understand that anyone like any game so it's a matter of personnal interests to sum up.

I don't like almost every Psikyo games. 8)

Yes, good call, Sol Divide is pretty crappy. Although I will defend it by saying they used a good song from Sol Divide for the DB/SD title screen!

Super God Trooper Zeroigar for the PC-FX. I owned a PC-FX and that game for a bit, but man is that game a piece of garbage.
