Very curious to read some opinions on this, as the game is one that I'd really like to 1cc.

I just roll with Napalm Bomb and Optics Laser all day. I may change up the laser for something forward firing if I get bored...which...I do.
When using Napalm Bomb, if you don't accidentally get a steady hold on the button to where the 6 napalms start firing individually, steer your ship near a hard place so only one of the two napalms on each spread detonates before the other. This way with each napalm not firing at the same time, you can have more firepower going on at once without leaving yourself open.

stage 2-5 = Optics laser and napalm bomb
Stage 6 = 2x napalm bombs

Code: Select all
Tested on an orange enemy near the beginning (after 4 clusters of small enemies)
Vulcan 8 Shots
Vvulcan 8 Shots
Optics Laser 2 Shots
7 Type Beam 4 or 5 shots
Napalm Bomb 1 shot
Mixed
1 Optics Laser + 3 Vulcan therefore the Laser is roughly 5 Vulcan
Code: Select all
Damage
---------------------------------------
Vulcan 1
Vvulcan 1 (per bullet)
Optics Laser 5
7 Type Beam 2-ish
Napalm Bomb 8 at least, probably more (per bomb)
