Yeah most do output 640×480 but there will be games that go lower than that. Was just trying to figure out if I will need something like a Tink 2x to pair with this just to make sure. I do have a few other PC monitors I could use, but this one is 27 inches. Ideally, I would have like to skip any scalers but this might not be possible.
I did see some of the pictures posted of s-video and it does look great. So I don't think I would mind if I'm using that connection. As far as which model, this one is the 20B.

Cool. Yeah, anything but 31KHz source will require a Tink 2x at minimum to work on VGA, but the S-Video looks great if you dont want to get a scaler for 15KHz sources.tacoguy64 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 8:26 pm Yeah most do output 640×480 but there will be games that go lower than that. Hopefully, that uploads the image successfully. I got the 15khz RGB working with proper brightness. I believe the correct resistance values will be 820ohm inline for the RGB lines, with 180ohm termination resistors to ground.
The values I used in this image were 680ohm inline, 330ohm termination. This is probably overkill but it's all I had available and I was itching to do the mod. To increase brightness, you simply raise the termination value and/or lower the inline value.
This needs more modification before I share the full build, as there is still bad artifacting due to the lack of diodes. The OSD is also nearly invisible, which may also be fixed with diodes.
I will report back when I finish the build, but for now, we know it's very possible. NOTE: This is the 27MMV30B version of this set. This mod should be compatible with both versions though.

Nice work man, thanks for posting. For blanking voltage, did you end up sourcing the +5V from the set or from the console?
