Jonpachi, you rang for my assistance. Alrighty then, there are four pcb revisions of Cave's Pink Sweets as follows:
1.) 2006/04/06 Master Version (0 periods/dots): Features the "infamous" freeze bug and the "infinite lives" glitch.
2.) 2006/04/06 Master Version (2 periods/dots): An undocumeted reversion.
3.) 2006/04/06 Master Version (3 periods/dots): Presumably fixed the freeze bug while leaving the infinite lives glitch intact.
4.) 2006/04/06 Master Version (4 periods/dots): The final bug-fixed revision that Cave Co. Ltd released that entirely removes the freeze bug and the infinite lives glitch.
So it'd seem that you'd want either the 3rd revision or 4th reversion of the Pink Sweets pcb then for your arcade pcb collection/stash.

Just seen that Clear River are releasing Tiger Heli and Flying Shark in PAL territories with listings on Amazon for anyone who hasn't imported them yet.

To go "full-Plank" - colloquial - To experience disproportionate levels of frustration as a result of resistance to completing a task. Those who go "full-Plank" very rarely recover.

Yeah these were announced a while ago. The most notable detail is that the Flying Fire Shark PS4 release has all the DLC on the disc as opposed to the JP version which does not.DrTrouserPlank wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2026 8:50 am Just seen that Clear River are releasing Tiger Heli and Flying Shark in PAL territories with listings on Amazon for anyone who hasn't imported them yet.

Ehhhhh I’m not a fan of these. But I did just recently learn Garegga, so maybe it will click more for me than it did over a decade ago. But man they better add a level gadget or something to see how bad the game has it in for me

I had the 360 version of this a way long time ago. I might as well admit at this point I'm pretty dog shit at shmups in general, let alone Yagawa shmups, even if mechanically I appreciate the depth.
The European packages look nice but I try not to collect physical too much any more and the few Euro packs I have are in the for sale box. The poster is nice. I take it there's an equivalent MMP flyer I can hang up since I love fatties. I'll put that on the to-do list after I move.
Regardless, very curious to see the tech analysis on lag and any new arrange modes. Arranged soundtrack will probably be sick as hell.

Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.
