I don't own the 360 versions but a few knowledgeable and enthusiastic people like the Cave forums admin have commented that the modern ports improved on the slow down accuracy and are sometimes closer to the PCBs compared to the 360 versions.hamfighterx wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2026 5:38 pmStarfighter wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2026 7:43 amAnd City Connection was... 50/50 when it comes to input latency, right? I want to remember them being on both sides in the past.Yeah, I look to their Deathsmiles I&II and Akai Katana releases, which were both pretty well done as far as accuracy to the 360 ports. Does seem very unlikely that they will improve over the 360 source material though.Bassa-Bassa wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2026 7:59 am They're using once again their Takeoff team, which was on the good side. The concerns should be placed more on how good the original ports in that regard were. Hardly they'll be improving over that.
For home ports, I'm still inclined to keep playing the 360 just because I can do that over RGB on a nice CRT. Still gonna be better, or at least no worse, from a latency perspective.
The arrange soundtrack is a pretty cool feature though! Daisuke Matsumoto and Yosuke Yasui? Yeah I'll definitely want to check that out. Soundtrack CD alone is enough to convince me to get the physical box here. Pretty reasonably priced too, $48 USD for a physical release with full CD.
You can already turn off the smoothing filter in the 360 release, it's an option in both games.

It's also funny how he keeps dissing the Switch versions due to lag and in the end buys them and is ok with them, a happy end I guess.
So assuming this is true, it seems they use the 360 versions and then do some changes. Personally I enjoyed the Switch versions of Deathsmiles, Akai Katana Shin, DDP SDOJ (different publisher), Under Defeat HD, R Type Delta HD (no 360) and Mamorukun Curse, so I'm looking forward to this release.
