2ND LOOP ARCADE is hosting our first monthly shmup meet: "SHMUP-O-RAMA: THE FIRST FLIGHT"!
Our arcade recognizes shmups as the genre that started everything. So we are excited to present a night where every single cabinet in the arcade will be converted into a machine of high-flying, bullet-dodging action.
Below is a flier highlighting a few of the games that will appear this SHMUP-O-RAMA.
I see that this Shmup-O-Rama event is today at 12:00pm, 3/21/2026. Unfortunately, there's no sister location of the "2nd Loop Arcade" in Central California -- if the folks whom own it would be keen to open up a franchise business model for more to open up in say like the Bay Area, NorCal or Central California, that'd be cool.

Unfortunately, as a former business owner, I wish I can say it's that easy to open another location. This place is owned by a young entrepreneur and it's hard enough to open and keep opened something so niche as this. I'm rooting for him to be around for years. I myself live in Central California and went down there to support the place a couple weeks ago. I made a excuse to go see my sister out there and spent a couple hours at the arcade.
Did any members here attend the first shmup event? I was out of town but I'll try to make the 2nd event on April 18th. I won't be there until 8:30pm or so but I'm excited to see what they have out there. Hopefully Chaos Field!
