I recently tried installing the CleanRGB mod from RetroSix and while I'm very impressed with the visual improvement, the audio has gotten
really bad. I have attached a video where you can hear a very significant crackling sound. Part of the installation has you sever traces to the AV out and connect the CleanRGB board instead. In total there are four traces to cut: R, G, B and sync. After cutting each trace, I made sure to turn on the console and check that it was still working as expected. After the very first trace was cut (which I think was B?), the audio became completely unusable. I thought that it might just be a problem for the time being and that it would be back to normal as soon as I had cut all the traces and connected them to the CleanRGB but there was no change.

Here's a picture of how my SNES looks currently:
Here's a list of things I've tried that haven't had any effect:
- Connected a jumper from ground to the ground leg of one of the audio caps hoping that it would minimize interference.
- Covered the exposed copper of the severed traces with kapton tape.
Another detail that might or not might not be important is that I've tried it both with a regular (and not very good) RGB Scart cable as well as a CleanRGB Scart cable from RetroSix. The image quality is better with the RetroSix one but the audio is the exact same.
I know very little about this sort of stuff so any help I can get is greatly appreciated
