I find these more entertaining and "knockabout" than the Psikyo games which can be on the joy killing side sometimes because of their exacting demands and silly bullet speeds. They are also more entertaining than the original style Raiden games for me (although I still have a huge soft spot for Raiden III).

Are there any versions of the physical other than the Chinese version? That is all I see on Play-Asia.

I preordered the Japanese/overseas edition from amazon.co.jp and I decided to stop using Play-Asia again after my last experience
A couple weeks ago Play-Asia used this delivery company, GoFo, for Karous, who marked it as delivered, and the package never showed up. When I tried to contact Play-Asia they referred me to the shipping company to resolve the issue, and the shipping company said I need to file a police report with the city of Chicago to do anything. I just took the loss.

This was posted a while ago, does 'overseas' mean a usa release?? I havent seen any more info other than this postNeoStrayCat wrote: ↑Thu Oct 30, 2025 5:09 pm Well, that didn't take too long... https://www.gematsu.com/2025/10/raiden- ... ry-26-2026
Overseas release announced by H2 Interactive, arriving same day/date as the JP release. Sadly, no PC/Steam version mentioned, just the same console platforms that its being released for (PS4/PS5 and Switch).

Yes, usually, I refer to releases outside JP/Asia as "overseas" for English speaking territories. (Usually in NA/US and in EU/PAL regions.)

Went to get it off Amazon Japan as they actually have the PS4 version, but it said shipping was $30 without any option to change it. Unless something changes on Play Asia I may need to just get that one.Some-Mist wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 8:34 pm I preordered the Japanese/overseas edition from amazon.co.jp and I decided to stop using Play-Asia again after my last experience

Looking for the most complete version. I see 3 different PS4 versions with different prices
Who knows what is different between these editions?

Evidentially, a lot of people had problems with Karous. Mine sat in customs for like 20 days (which seemed to be a common tale). That said, it eventually came, with DHL doing the delivery (which was surprising, as everything else from play-asia had been delivered by US mail). So you may want to contact them to see if something got screwed up in the hand-off. Personally speaking, I've found DHL MUCH easier to deal with than UPS/FedExA couple weeks ago Play-Asia used this delivery company, GoFo, for Karous, who marked it as delivered, and the package never showed up. So is this a proper or "new" release of these titles, or is it a re-release of some botched ports that these have surely had at some point? I assume it's not going to be a pile of shite if MOSS have their name on it. Are these H2 guys on the cover just publishing it, or are they involved in the development?

H2 are just the publisher. They're a Korean publisher who typically do non-Japanese Asian releases of games released by other publishers in other areas.
As far as I know these are new ports. It's not a rerelease of the 360 collection, so we won't really know how the ports are until it's out and people have tried.

I'm not sure the differences, but I always just get standard editions. Something similar happened to me. It turned out the package was sitting at my local post office. This was specifically with their free shipping which doesn’t use traditional tracking. Apparently the post office only holds it for so long before it’s sent back.Some-Mist wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 8:34 pm I preordered the Japanese/overseas edition from amazon.co.jp and I decided to stop using Play-Asia again after my last experience

Re: Raiden Fighters Remix Collection
looks like there was a pre-release stream event yesterday
https://youtu.be/mFfgen2Zey0
it's never expected and I don't recall seeing it in the prior vids, but I'm pleased to see that quite a bit of English text in the options menu so I won't have to bust out the phone to translate as often.
unrelated in case anyone was curious, I kept bugging gofo and play-asia about my karous release, obtained a delivery confirmation picture, and found that they delivered it to the wrong address. play-asia is currently working it out with the carrier on a resolution but no word yet

So... It's less than 20 days left to the "worldwide release" and we have no word at all on any EU retailer? I'm confused.
I'm fine with ordering from Play-Asia, but I'm also a bit tired of ordering from them only to have an unannounced, often a bit cheaper, version show up within the EU a few months later. (And the times I wait for that to happen it doesn't and then the international one is sold out...

I really want to order a copy off of Amazon.jp but I'm kinda torn:
On the one hand, i have a PS4 stick and dont have a PS5 stick so I should buy the PS4 ver.
On the other hand, the PS5 version COULD theoretically support VRR, allowing for the true speed of the games instead of the sped up 60fps version.
But MOSS has not explained at all how the speed of the games will be handled. Unless anyone else has heard anything I assume they're going to force 60fps?

If they don’t include VRR in 2026 on the very games that were the impetus for me to research VRR years ago, ima lose my shit.

ACA2NEOGEO supports VRR, so there's some precedent. Fingers crossed.

I don't know, but from the trailers and gameplay on Bilibili, it doesn't look like a perfect 60fps; it actually looks like the original 54.06Hz.Gojiguy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 4:57 pm On the other hand, the PS5 version COULD theoretically support VRR, allowing for the true speed of the games instead of the sped up 60fps version.

I also think it's a forced choice; at 60fps it would be 11% faster, and that's definitely too much.

That's why the 360 collection Raiden Fighters Aces let's you choose between 60fps and various 54Hz solutions. I really hope Remix won't be a step back in this regard.Lemnear wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 2:08 pmI don't know, but from the trailers and gameplay on Bilibili, it doesn't look like a perfect 60fps; it actually looks like the original 54.06Hz.Gojiguy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 4:57 pm On the other hand, the PS5 version COULD theoretically support VRR, allowing for the true speed of the games instead of the sped up 60fps version.

Btw, Aces runs flawlessly with the rather recent Bad update + Aurora exploit, even on PAL machines that were tragically omitted back in the days. All you really need is a USB stick

Holy **** you've GOT to be kidding me. I've been waiting to play a legit console version of Raiden Fighters Aces since the Xbox 360 release (I'm a lowly region-locked European). I even bought the retail version in hopes for backwards compatibility. Yes, I know MAME, and I have a JTAG xbox, but I want to play them LEGIT. After ALL this time, happy with the news of this release initially, they can't even be bothered with an Xbox version? Even though most those Mikado's and V are on it. I'm annoyed as shit!

Perhaps they're in the same boat as me, where it's the only 360 game I want that didn't get a european release and buying a whole other console just for one game isn't tempting no matter how cheap... But I'm just guessing!
I ordered mine from PlayAsia a week ago or so, I didn't want to wait and see if there is a european version this time. "World wide release" many times just means Japan and North America and there's still zero word on any EU retailers.
