Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
I check production progress occasionally, but really I just assume they are never going to deliver. And I assume the personnel issues they mention are because those staff knew the company was a sinking ship or they were never properly staffed in the first place and that "staff" never actually existed.
But I'm kind of curious how Clover-Tac feels about all this. I haven't heard anything from him. Wonder if he just got paid and said fuck it, not his problem or if he is actually concerned about the matter. Considering it is his only game and probably made a decent amount of money from digital sales I figure he doesn't really have much skin in all this.

"All of our suppliers went bankrupt! For the second or third year in a row! Then all our staff quit! Then all the staff we hired to replace them quit! Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
Wow, how long does it take to ship out the NSW Crimson Clover game (Regular Version, Collector's Set Version & Collector's Set EX Version)? It'll be 2026 starting tomorrow and still no physical NSW CC even though it was announced back in 2022 (with First Press Games accepting pre-orders for all three variants indeed and still considered "vaporware" in 2025/2026). What gives? Might we have to wait another year towards 2027 then?
----------
I believe the Sega Genesis boxed set of Earthion will be released in 2026 and definitely before the NSW port of CC ever is released for sure -- why is that so?
----------
Clover-TAC should find another reputable game publisher for physical copies of NSW Crimson Clover instead of First Press Games as they have nothing to show for it even to this very day.

Probably everyone interested in the game on Switch has it already, but it's on sale right now. Picked it up last night because it's easier for me to play Switch on a larger screen than Steam games.

Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
I'm so glad I got out of this mess years ago. I went by instinct and requested a refund 3 years ago. Surprisingly, after 2 or 3 emails, I got my refund and never looked back. I'm one of those people that doesn't mind paying a bit extra getting it on the secondary market when a game is out. Ebay, Amazon, whatever. I'm just not very good or patient enough to wait 1, 2 let alone 3 years or more. A similar fiasco happened with WaterMelon games when they were putting out the beat em up game they did. I just got my Pier Solar copy fro them, saw they were a Mickey Mouse outfit and said, I'm done. Learned my lesson that I'll NEVER pre-order a game years in advance no matter how much I want the game.

About time someone stepped up. Unfortunately I think this means there will never be a modern physical of Crimzon Clover. I'm just curious what BS they sold the developers to acquire publishing rights and ultimately where the shortfalls were to make them fuck up so bad on their obligations.

Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
I wonder and highly doubt if Worst Press has enough money to defend itself in court. It would be hilarious in a twisted manner if all of the games it hasn't shipped never ship because it got sued out of existence for never shipping.

Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
And will First Press Games issue refunds to those whom have paid for such pre-orders as far back as of 2021/2022 or even earlier? The court could order that FPG refund all that money back to customers as they still don't have anything to show for it (in terms of giving the customers their pre-ordered games whether it be the regular edition, the upgraded edition or the Super Limited Edition as associated with the Switch Crimson Clover physical edition iterations).
----------
What's Clover-TAC's response to the FPG's Switch Crimson Clover fiasco? He should find another reputable game publisher that will get the job done right the "first time" with no "hemming and hawing" around -- it's already March of 2026 and still no actual physical game release of Crimson Clover.

Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
Yesterday I emailed Clover-TAC asking about the status of the physical edition. He apologized for the situation and mentioned that First Press Games either doesn't respond to their requests for information or gives the same excuses. He considers it a scam and said they weren't aware that other developers have filed lawsuits. He will contact KOMODO (the game's publisher) to pass this information on to them.
We can probably consider the pre-order money lost, but perhaps there's a chance the game will be released physically by another distributor. Fingers crossed.

Wonder why Clover-TAC went with FPG in the first place. Crimzon Clover has enough of a following to have easily been released by a more "reputable" limited release publisher. Hell I think it could've done well as a retail release. Some serious lies must've been told for FPG to get the rights for the physical release.

Perhaps I should consider emailing Qute to see what they say about Worst Press having still not shipped the Ginga Force + Natsuki Chronicles limited edition thingy or given me my refund. Has anyone tried contacting Qute yet?

It's great he emailed you back that quickly. Hopefully they're in a position to put FPG's feet to the fire legally, but I'm not holding my breath.zyloj wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 8:19 pm Yesterday I emailed Clover-TAC asking about the status of the physical edition. Please do that! This whole situation is really, really crazy. I think the more people involve developer directly, the better! At least show them that other developer taking action!~

Re: Crimzon Clover World Explosion (Switch)
Yeah, I should probably try it. Just kind of lazy to do the whole super proper Japanese email thingy because it's a pain lol. They'll probably not care at all if I mess it up a little once they see my clearly not Japanese name on the contact form thingy though. I'll figure it out eventually.
It's just really annoying and funny to me, unfortunately in a bad way, that Worst Press is so incomparably terrible at everything. How did this situation even come to be? I have no idea, and I don't want to know. Actually, I do have an idea: the combination of too much ambition combined with too much incompetence. I know they are capable of doing stuff because I have actually received stuff from them before, but between this Crimzon Clover mess, the Ginga Force + Natsuki LE thing, especially since all of the other versions of Ginga Force and Natsuki have apparently shipped as of like a year and a half ago, and the fact that they apparently decided not to give me my refund when I asked for it and then they said they would do it but then nothing, even after I later threatened legal action, it's just hilariously bad and moderately frustrating.
At this point, I don't care about the games since I played them on PC like literally half a decade ago after I gave up on the physical copies, I just want the soundtracks that are included in the box. If I ever get the damn thing, which I doubt, I may dump the CDs and then sell the whole thing on ebay or here or whatever and be done with it. Does anyone who wasn't able to get the Ginga Force + Natsuki LE thingy want one? I may sell it, but I might not. No promises, especially since it will probably never ship.

It's extremely frustrating that we appear to have incompetent gatekeepers to physical copies of games we want.
I gave up on them trying to send me a copy of Tetris Effect that they had in stock. Got lost in transit twice.

Wow I was not ready for that irritating jovial music so early in the morning!
Looks to me from that video that everything is ready to go, only...
https://firstpressgames.com/blogs/news/ ... itch-games
"While we're unable to provide a new shipping date right now"
"Recent developments are also affecting some of our other titles"
"We need to recruit and train new staff'
So in spite of seemingly having plenty ready to go, they... erm... aren't.

I think that since this purchase I have never bought any other product in preorder again. As a customer now I only trust in available products ready to sell and ship.

LRG and the like have done about as much damage as Kickstarter has to trust in a new product announcement.
