Both IMO are shmups though Outzone is almost borderline.
Both kick ass and are hatd to 1CC, let alone 9C.
Which of these two is more fun and 1 CCable and why to you?
For me, I can last up to stage 4 in Outzone, stage 2 in V-V, so far. Outzone is more fun to me cos it's a great overhead contra. I know both are super different, yet vertical shmups essentially. Which do you like better?

Outzone is toaplans best by miles imo.. i just love it!
VV is a great game too but blends in too much with the rest of toaplans games.. you could easily replace it with say Vimana...

Outzone - i think it's easily the more enjoyable game and it's a much easier 1cc. Outzone seems difficult at first but if you collect some speed ups and the super ball thing it's dead easy to finish the game.
I think Outzone is more fun because it has the moving platforms, the fixed/8 way shooting feature, some nice bosses and some quite interesting secret bits. V-V is quite bad for a Toaplan game i think - it has nothing really new in it and some really crap music and uninspired level design.

uhh...that should be quite the opposite, vimana is about the worst toaplan has to offer, while V-V is pretty good in it's own right, definitely an announcer for what batsugun-donpachi era was about to be.sven666 wrote:Outzone is toaplans best by miles imo.. i just love it!

as for the topic, i think it's kinda apples and oranges, outzone is not a shmup to me, doesn't play like one.
