Post by theoptopeanut »

EposVox (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7B0zQdNiyI) argues for the OEM drivers and against the Thirllness drivers, whereas Thrillness (https://thethrillness.blogspot.com/2015 ... eview.html) argues the opposite.

EposVox (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7B0zQdNiyI) claims the card reads 240p sent via composite/s-video as 480i, wherehas Thrillness (https://thethrillness.blogspot.com/2015 ... eview.html) claims the card reads 240p properly.

Actually, I've dealt with the USB3HDCAP before, and getting 240p to cooperate is a nightmare depending on your signal chain. If the drivers keep giving you grief or the 480i interlacing artifacts ruin your clips, you might just want to capture what you can and fix it in post. I usually merge mp4 files from different test runs to see which settings actually look best on a modern screen. It's way easier than fighting OEM drivers all day.
