Wild Blue (a Star Fox 64 tribute)

Post by Alf »

I've just found out about this cute little game called Wild Blue.
Appears to be heavily inspired by Star Fox 64, down to certain dialogue.

It's a "Fine, I'll make it myself!" type of situation. If nintendont, indie does 8)
I love Star Fox 64 and the recent PC decompilation really breathes new life into it.
I'll be checking this one out for sure!

I believe one of developers behind this game was also one of the main programmers of the SF/SNES Star Fox, so it does have some pedigree at least. Giles Goddard?

The most important thing about this is that it's being headed by Giles Goddard who was one of the lead programmers for StarFox.
I'm skeptical on this. The art style is rough to me and it looks to be just StarFox 64 again while other rail shooters lately have been trying to do new things. And Goddard, while undoubtedly talented and instrumental in the creation of StarFox, that series was not made by only him. It was made by him and the team he was on.

It won't be a bad game but I'm not over the moon for it yet.
