sns-cpu-rgb-01 chipped ceramic cap

Post by PurpleSkyz »

Hi!

In the process of changing the c61 of my sfc sns-cpu-rgb-01 to a 22uf cap to clear the vertical lines (I hope that was the correct one to replace and not c81 as the schematic seems to point to c81 but my understanding is that this board has c61 connected to the voltage regulator output, if not please correct me! anyway...), I chipped the c21 ceramic cap and want to know the correct value to replace it, again the only available schematic seems to be for multiple boards.

Any ideas?

You sure it is broken? It might still be functionable.

I think it's totally functional as I've tested it and everything seems fineetc. But I can see a bit of the top layer metal plate of the cap and it bothers me. I'll live with it I suppose :)

If it still works, then I imagine you could desolder it and measure it, then install a new one.
