Lunatic Ranger - Light Gun/Danmaku Hybrid

Post by lunaticdev »

Been working on this as of late, will post more progress as I work on the game. The gameplay is a mix of Sin and Punishment and your typical light gun game, with the art style being inspired by Rakugaki Showtime.

This gif is a bit older and I've noticed some mistakes in it since I made it. Many graphics are placeholders for now.

What's interesting about that peculiar & rare PSX game of Treasure's "Rakugaki Showtime" is, only 10,000 copies were produced/sold in it's entirety, thus making it a highly coveted PSX game worth playing/owning as it is. It did get a two page spread article write-up complete with full color screenshots in a past issue of GameFan just to let the American PSX gamers know/learn a bit more about it (with it's multi-player all-out brawl fests worth playing). In fact, if you went to one of the bigger Japanese Toys-R-Us store in Japan back in March/April of 2000, you could easily find/buy a brand new PSX copy of "Rakugaki Showtime" for a mere 5,800 yen purchase indeed.
