i feel like it's easy to overstate how "easy" senjin is... novice & casual difficulties are very easy, type-d (as a ship and leader) is defensively overpowered, & assist mode essentially gives you a double autobomb. but without those crutches there is a bit of survival difficulty i think, & if you explore different ways of playing or try to build rank or do any amount of scoring theres an incredible amount of potential challenge. (for example, looking @ the runs that are up on youtube, the majority of them are novice/casual, assist on, type-d leader, type-d ship 90% of the time, zero rank 90% of the time, no TLB, practically no attempt at scoring...)

Agreed muzakefron, most people who have played the game can find a difficulty that’s not easy. I enjoyed trying to 1cc Original difficulty with no assist (but also on the no TLB route) as much as any other good CAVE(-adjacent) shmup. And the Expert difficulty is far out of reach for me.
