Sunny Tam has officially announced the 4th entry in the Danmaku Unlimited series, titled "WYVER ULTRA". This time in 3D

It's in development and we shouldn't expect anything soon, but an announcement is an announcement, and I'm hyped so here it is!

Really love the new info area around the sides, and really like that more and more STG's are embracing it. Everything looks so clean @_@!~

Holy cow! 4K with 120hz frame support from the get-go with the upcoming Steam port -- surely the Xbox Series X will be able handle it with finesse and aplomb (am not sure with the lower-spec Xbox Series S console setup though). 2025 is surely shaping up to be a very good banner year with new stg titles down the pipeline -- wow! Color me impressed!

Thanks for the 411 on the Steam tentative release of Danmaku Unlimited 4: Wyver Ultra, shmupper Faith -- I see a possible DU4:WV Exa release down the road as well (as DU3 did get a proper Exa release under a different title namesake, of course).

I remember getting the third game on Switch and never beating it because it was so difficult. I hope this one's easier.

This is awesome news! Danmaku Unlimited 3 on switch was my gateway into the whole genre, absolutely loved it. Fingers crossed it gets a release on switch as well (or maybe switch 2 at 120fps to try and make use of that feature and generate some extra sales?). I remember seeing on twitter that DU3 sold more copies on switch than anywhere else, so hopefully it won't be far behind the PC version....
