I was watching the nationally syndicated tv show of "Collector's Call" with host Rachel Welch. In 2024, she and her camera crew went down to Galloping Ghost retro arcade and showcased some of the cool & obscure arcade games there including the one & only prototype Robotron 2085: Blaster wooden styled cab + the 100% fully restored & working Sega R-360 cab that runs the Sega G-LOC arcade game -- how cool is that?

I had personally played two credits of the extremely rare wooden cab version of the Williams prototype "Robotron 2085: Blaster" at a 7-11 joint in Ceres, California in the Summer of 1984. At the current time of playing it, I didn't know that it was a Williams prototype Blaster cab to begin with. It was setup with the ability to continue on the last stage you died on & had a whopping 30 stages altogether (whereas with the regular Blaster cabs, they only had 24 stages & no option to continue).

Hmmm, shoulda planned my trip to Illinois when I visited family in Arlington Heights instead of last year to this year. I'm being silly. I've been to Galloping Ghost twice over the years twice and it is a special place. I believe it is the record world holder for largest arcade currently. I will say though, that this last time I went, I experienced a lot of issues, mainly monitor related on at least half the cabs I was on. They were mainly shmups. I'm thinking those are the least used cabs and staff doesn't attend to those as much? Anyway, you all have a good time and a shmup meet there seems awesome. Electric Underground did one a couple years back and taped the whole thing.
