Ah Biru. Have you seen the recent Basement Brothers episode on Macross Countdown! ?
It's way primitive, but very fun to see the various weird Japanese systems the game was ported to.

I hadn't, thanks for the heads-up! Great watch... Macross ultimately had a pretty good run of licensed games, between NMK's SDF1 (very good!), their SDF2 (holy fuck incredible), and the very solid SFC Scrambled Valkyrie + PCE-CD Eternal Love Song, in addition to SEGA's super rad PS2 arcade/sim dogfighter.vol.2 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:47 pmAh Biru. Macross Plus is fantastic. I also haven't actually watched it since something like 1996, so I am due for another go. It's on my list.
Yes, it's amazing!

Definitely on my watch list. I've been upping my Gunpla game the past couple of years after joining a local model building club. Currently working on some sets in the "Ver.Ka" series.PC Engine Fan X! wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 2:29 am There's a brand new Gundam anime series called "Gundam EQuuuuuuX" for 2025 with episode 1 streaming right now on Amazon Prime Video. It's 26 minutes in duration -- this is the newest Gundam series to be released right after "Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" back in 2022. Apparently today, April 9th, 2025, is the debut of Gundam EQuuuuuuX exclusively on Prime Video. Check it out.
PC Engine Fan X! ^_~
Sonic Adventure????
Don't you mean "GQuuuuuuX?"
One would expect them to look a lot more different than that 1000 years past UC. The main design looks kind of like a cross between a Gundam and Super Sentai suit?PC Engine Fan X! wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 4:05 pmThe Gundam mechas are quite different in appearance in G:RIG indeed.
Damn I wasn’t aware the Gundam Blu-rays went out of print. I never picked up ZZ and now set 1 is like $200…vol.2 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 2:25 pmOne would expect them to look a lot more different than that 1000 years past UC. Some day I might get so far along with the story that I watch those, but I just barely finished ZZ. I'm going to start in on 0080 and 0083 next. Although 0080 seems to be hard to find and very expensive on disc. I'm going to try an borrow it from someone in my Gunpla group I think.
I have MSG and Zeta, but I watched ZZ on Crunchy. They have a vested interest in not reissuing the discs because it directly competes with their streaming model, so I sort of think this is the new normal. I would have purchased all of them, but I started having financial issues the end of last year (that I saw coming), and I couldn't justify the costs, even when they were cheaper. I sat on Zeta after I bought them for like a year.sky-13 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 4:33 pmDamn I wasn’t aware the Gundam Blu-rays went out of print. Crunchyroll made an official statement saying they have no plans to reprint the disks right now.
Miss Rightstuf even more now.
