The prestigious and world-known 2025 24 Hours of LeMans in France is going on right now from June 14th through June 15th, 2025 and only has three classes racing this time around: LM Hypercar Class, LMP2 (Prototype 2) Class and lastly, the LM GTE3 (GT Endurance 3) Class. Lamborghini doesn't have a Hypercar to race in this year's 24 hour race. The Ford Mustang GTD car (GT Distance) is in it's second year of the 24 hour racing event. The Chevy Corvette C8R (Race spec) is racing in the LM GTE3 Class as well.
Only 20 Hypercars have entered/qualified this year's 24 hour race -- Ferrari won back-to-back in the Hypercar category in both 2023 & 2024 24 Hours of LeMans races. Will they win again for an unheard of "trifecta win" back-to-back? Watch and see if they are able pull it off or not -- it's the "ultimate test of endurance of man & machine" indeed!

The current WEC rules & regulations say that a 24 Hours of LeMans driver can race up to 3 hours max and then pit in to facilitate a "driver swap" (as to not incur "driver fatigue" or even a racing demerit/citation).
The all-female racing team, the "Iron Dames," makes a return appearance at this year's 24 Hours of LeMans also (they raced at last year's 2024 24 hour race as well).
The cool highlight of watching a 24 Hours of LeMans race, is when it's night-time racing at it's best (complete with led lighting to designate what place the current driver is in (borrowed from the defunct American LeMans racing series back in the day).

Waking up with Hindy's dulcet tones and prodigious gut on the Radio Le Mans livestream (man's a global treasure), another tab with a potato quality guerilla stream, and a third tab with Toyota's 07 onboard - pretty much a perfect Sunday morning.
Still a bit salty that I missed sunset, but I've got a lot to get caught up on.
With the first hour being LMP2 causing a kerfuffle and Peugot doing a striptease, I suspect it's a lot.

Ferrari won again for the 3rd time in the Hypercar category and is on a winning streak indeed.
On Amazon Prime Video streaming, there's the awesome documentary about the 100th Anniversary of the "24 Hours of LeMans" with the world-famous "Garage 56" space hosting the one-off Nascar Chevy Camaro race car (with 750hp under the hood and only weighs 2,000 pounds altogether -- it was listed under the "Experimental" racing category for the 2023 24 Hours of LeMans race that year) with the Hendricks Motorsports team at the helm -- can a 7th-gen Nascar race car built from the ground-up for endurance racing last the full 24 hours of pure solid racing at it's utmost limits? Watch the Prime Video "American Thunder" documentary and find out. It's an hour & 37 minutes in duration.
I inquired about the current 7th-gen Nascar race cars racing in the Nascar racing series and was told that there two performance packages: 450hp for the technical road courses and 600hp for the high speed tracks (Daytona, Indy, Talladega, etc.). In retrospect, the older 6th-gen Nascar race cars had 700hp through and through.
Current F1 driver Max Verstappen has expressed interest in racing at the 2026 24 Hours of LeMans event to be held in June of 2026. Should something worth looking forward to if that happens.
