To me it looks like a coin control joystick which came in 4 way or 8 way, leaf switch or microswitch versions. A totally reasonable replacement for a DK cabinet outside of TG's uptight restrictions. How can you tell which model from the top of the panel?

Karl said looks like an 8 way? OK why?

https://kowalarcade.wordpress.com/arcad ... ick-4-way/
The longer one is a typical balltop. Red, white, blue and black colors available. The bar has a plastic shaft cover permanently integrated with the shaft itself, it is in battop color.
So yeah there is at least one stick out there that has that unusual long thing shaft with matching color to the balltop and is 4-way.

To me they look very similar to the one in the pic. Pic of the long shaft red version here:

To continue ignoring the clown's antics, I just wanted to say it's really cool when companies make new authentic NES roms of their games. Like Galaga and Pac-Man Championship Edition.

Donkey Kong NES/famicom got an update some years ago; that restores the lost stage and a little bit of the cut animation. I think it only has one official release? Extremely obscure and possibly time-limited? Not even used on the Switch subscription ROM shop, afaik? It's a bit odd, but also entirely expected.

I think I figured out what the problem is with why some Donkey Kong stages are bad: They don't have barrels in them.

Congo Bongo has the same problem. One good stage, then a bunch of weird stages where the giant monkey isn't throwing shit at you. Every Donkey Kong stage would be better with barrels.

On this topic, I've become like Kathleen Kennedy: "Put a barrel in it. Make it gay!"

There's not a stage where he's literally throwing his shit at you, either.

IIRC it was made for the Wii virtual console, right?
It's still the shitty NES port though. I feel obligated to point out that someone made a much more arcade perfect port of Donkey Kong for the NES some years back, that you really should try to get ahold of if you can dig it up!

1. Karl Jobst just lost his lawsuit to Billy. Owes him $350,000

2. Looks like the case was about exactly what Billy already said in his response to Jobst nearly four years ago (unfortunately no longer online, but here's the transcript) - Him claiming that Billy's lawsuit attributed to Apollo Legend's suicide.

3. People are mad at Karl Jobst, because he never mentioned the lawsuit was about this. He never mentioned what the suit *was* about, but kept talking about how Billy had no chance of winning because he is demonstrably a cheater - heavily implying that the suit was about him calling Billy a cheater

4. People donated over $200,000 to Karl's GoFundMe under the pretense that the case was about this and not that

5. Instead of issuing a public retraction to save face (and potentially the suit, honestly), Karl at some point stealthily edited out the specific part of the video mentioned in Billy's response where he shares false information and makes the damning claim. An approach which honestly makes him look pretty bad

6. I don't want to say I told you so about Karl, but I've definitely made my thoughts clear in the past, if not here, then several other places. I'm not gonna defend Billy either, but Karl is a person who literally makes a living from making Billy look bad. Obviously his intentions were never noble

With the thread being almost twenty years old, and a momentous decision reached, let's recap this latest arc.

1] BIRRY, an NPD boomer, lost he MONKEY CHONG WR, so he used MAME 2 TAKE BACK HE THRONE (as seen in THE KOK: A FUQ)

2] KNOBST, Youtoob cereal pusher / falsificareologist, said "BIRRY cheated!" (he did) but also "HE MAEK LOVABLE APOLO KILL HE SELF"

3] BIRRY sued KNOBST for saying he made APOLO kill he self, but KNOBST said "PLS EAT CEREAL 2 DEFEND MUH CHEATING EXPOSÉS"

---

So KNOBST's misled fans ate lots of cereal to unknowingly fund a doomed defamation defense, and now, KNOBST be FUCC while BIRRY is KING OF KNOBST.

~Fin~
Spoiler
Also rip APOLO. God rest he soul! ;w;7

*ahem* Well five years ago, I said I'd be interested in where this went jurisprudentially; the Crumpetsphere at large being a shitshow WRT speech protections. Burgertown stands alone; always outnumbered, never outgunned by its BITCHMADE and TBH CUCKED cousins. Image

And it was worth the wait! Even if it wasn't about MAME vs hardware after all, dohoho. I must admire my learned friend's precision anal destruction of Herr KNOBST, that is to say,

MR. BARLOW BUTTFUCK KNOBST INTO NEXT CHRISTMAS (■`w´■)

FIVE CRUSHING YET RUTHLESSLY CLINICAL BLOWS FROM BALLBAG TO BRAINSTEM (`ω´メ)

TBF BIRRY TRIES TO JUMP IN BUT MR. BARLOW BITCHSLAPS HIM TOO, DK FALSIFICARE LEGIT (´ω`)

It is remarkable how badly the internet's #1 cereal man fucked all this up. I wonder if he'd have stood a chance even in Burgertown. :o

Fuck Jobst from turning this into fun laughing at DANKLE KANG highscores to a man's suicide and who's to blame (definitely not a laughing matter). Really pissed in the punch on that one.

I thought the man Knobst sold cereal and nutsack trimmers, not things that'd land you in Nuremberg. (´・ω・`)

What a shockingly thorough job. The effort seems thoroughly wasted on those two.

Also, I just peeked back at the page from 2020 and boy did things get dark around here during Covid. Hey! Anybody remember the COVID-19 in your part of the world thread, or are we all trauma-forgetting about it?

So naughty!

Burn the books!

Nope. Not written by wingnuts. (It's just that a lot of people don't like it when someone questions dogma legitimately--and the questions are legit.) I bet multiple forum members with need decades before they can hear the words (if ever).

Nope. Not coming from righties... And, the voices will grow into a rising chorus as we move forward...

So inconvenient... isn't it?

Double Donkey Dong II: BIRRYS REVENGEONER

Amongst internet shitshows, it truly has reached that rare, indulgent level of self-inflicted carnage. Back to the colosseum, ancient killing floor. Buddy stripping naked and lathering up in honey BBQ sauce, every crevice and crack before doing a header into the bear pit.

I do hope he doesn't go for the any% Family Annihilator ending. His poor wife and kid. If she stand by him after this obscenity, you know that's one ride or die rove u RONG TIME honey. :o Find you a cute AZN who'll kiss your head like mom when u crie @ getting 007 speedrun.

Maybe Knobst is preternaturally amazing at giving head, I have seen a few cases like that. What's she see in this motherfucker - oh right, he's a ninja bowcat. You make her hips buck and writhe in blessed primal release a couple times a night, she stands by you when you demolish your grandchildren's futures. Maybe this is the way out of his predicament? Just get down on BIRRY's Donkey Dong and call it even. Live on camera obviously. He'll need those clippers to shave not his nutsack, but HE QUIFF after BIRRY blasts hot sauce all over he dome

What am I saying about this poor woman? Like BIRRY's many satisfied customers, I'm just trying to #cope as her husband's torn-off head goes spiralling into the penguin exhibit.
