Bumping this thread to mention that the game was updated yesterday, and among various fixes/improvements, a Boss Rush Mode was added.

Fuckin A. This game deserves a PS5 version pls. It already has good word of mouth among non STG''ers on VG forums and could be the kickstart the genre needs if marketed correctly.

Is it time to ask again the question that already received a "no" answer as far as I remember : Switch port ?

Shigatake has mention due to Devil Blade Reboot being developed with Shooter Builder engine, it's not possible to do a console port of it using the current Shooter Builder engine. So as of right now, you can only play it on a PC or Steam Deck setup.

It just concerns me that it sounds as though it may need to be heavily re-built and that leaves lots of potential for it to be messed up!

Andro Dunos II was made with STG Builder and that has console versions (done by someone other than the game's actual devs). Let's please forget that the 3DS and Dreamcast versions exist.

The latest patch to Devil Blade Reboot finally adds the "much hyped" scanline option with fw v1.2.1 -- looks awesome on a 1st gen LCD-based Steam Deck setup or even the OLED-based Steam Deck as well. Since if you select scanline option, it'll be dimmer than usual -- to offset the lowered brightness factor as a result of enabling scanline effects, increase both the "brightness" & "saturation" at 30% for maximum punch/effectiveness. Easy as pie.

Not to mention the 1st year anniversary of DBR's initial debut on Steam also (as of 5/26/2025).
