What’s the point? Is it easier for you? To put on the face of some cool guy?

Guess, so, rather than work for it! Always wished to be amused, to be entertained, but never to fucking practice!

Why? Why, would you go out of your way to add someone like me? Do you think I wouldn’t see? Dude, I make it my life’s mission to see.

It took you 90 hours to 1cc RagingBlasters, AFTER you read my guide, and you called that 1cc “the first real return on investment I ever made.” Ok cool, happy to help. But, don’t just ghost a dude. All those favorites and reviews? Don’t just ghost a dude.

Isn’t more work to pretend? If you had spend that time better, like trying, would things be different? Why is it always like this? Why have some many chosen to take the false path? Wouldn’t time in the light be worth it in the long run?

No, just fake and lies~~~~~ Always with the fake and lies.

Don’t these people wake up each day? Look in the mirror each day? What do they see? Perfection? I spit on that.

Get out there and train! Go face some pain! Better than being lame!

Thread about poser stories?

P.S He was 50 years old.

(not sure if this counts as a "story" but....)
I'd like to nominate most youtubers who make videos with titles like "gaming is dead" "gaming is over" etc. when they have extraordinary low gaming experience themselves.
One specific example... there is this channel (not mentioning name because his videos are dogshit and he doesn't deserve any form of advertisement, even negative attention) where the guy has a massive superiority complex over being a supposedly hardcore player who values gameplay over everything.. in one of his videos he goes on a big speech about how "we are HOPELESSLY OUTNUMBERED by all of these retarded consumer sheeps" and so on..
and then, he started this series where he would go over all of the greatest games released for every year since 1985, and he immediately revealed his total ignorance about gaming.
He played Gradius 1 for presumably less than half an hour and quit by stage 2, then went on and on about the game being way too hard and recommended his viewers to cheat if they wanted to play it.
He beat Super Mario Bros 1 and then stated that "no one will really get any worth out of booting this up in an emulator and beating it in 15 minutes" - obviously. You're not meant to play it like that.
He played Castlevania 1 with a PAL rom in 50hz and then stated that the game had grinding in it because you can reset rooms despite the fact that 1. the game gives you plenty enough hearts playing normally and 2. the timer limits that. He also stated that the stopwatch is the best weapon which is just blatantly wrong, it's the cross or the holy water with the 2 or 3 blocks, not that he'd know that of course. He played through the entire game without hitting any of the wall secrets.
The cherry on top is all of the games that he didn't play. Instead of doing proper research for games, he took recommendations from his audience, which is, in turn, filled entirely by people who know nothing about retro games themselves. This led to absolutely embarrassing displays, such as the fact that he missed NES Contra when going over 1988, despite that being an essential game for that year.
When confronted by a brave commenter about some of these errors, (and others!) he blew up and accused all arcade and NES games of being repetitive toys. This commenter also mentioned offhandedly that one of his favorite games was Ghouls 'N Ghosts, and this youtuber incoherently accused him: "if that's your favorite game, you must think that a game being hard is good" which is very strange. There are many great aspects to Ghouls, and it's also not even that hard, I'm kind of confused on if he even played it in the first place, because he stated that Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts was a good game before, which combined with this random hatred towards Ghouls is really weird because if you love one game, there's really no reason that you'd hate the other.

I feel that poor youtubers (and there are a lot of them) are a serious menace, promoting whatever without a care of which scenes they destroy with their 'influence'.

Omg, what trash, and I wonder why it's so easy to find tas'd clears of super easy Garegga and the like. I read someone on here say "Cheaters set unfair expectations on new players & existing players learning games. They give the impression this skill is the norm within the scene with their vids. Even if exposed, they aren't punished. It should be different. It's a small scene. We need to take care of it." I agree, one hundred percent.

That's all pretty sad. I don't understand the point of this, like what is trying to be gained here? Is it really just about watching the sub count go up?

I salute that brave commenter!
...Hmm, maybe that's the goal? To make his army, but again, to what end? What is a bunch of stupid people going to do for you?

Thank you for the reply, it's given me something to think about, sorry it took so long.

Ah, Roo. I remember you, how goes the path?

Man, I guess I need to work on my delivery. Still trying to get better, everyday. Then again, the first guy got it. Someone on here told me some great advice, "the humor and understanding are left to the reader."

It's not really a complaint, just some emotion about another lost cause.
It's about fake people, and people that would rather look good than 'get gud'.
The pain that is caused by those false relationships and lies.

Do you have a story like that? One were you were wrong about someone, or maybe they just changed? Two faced, false. Something like that?

Hope that clears it up. Have a good day.

What do you expect in a society where inherited wealth and getting lucky are the only ways to make it?

They are all grasping at relevance to monetary ends, trying hard to fit into a marketable identity.

I was at karaoke last week, enjoying myself with my friends, and someone gets up there are starts a song facing the wall. Then they pull out their phone and start recording themselves. Ugh.

It felt really gross to me. But that's the world we live in now.

I'm fascinated that people can talk about video games to strangers (or dates). I never did that. I still don't. You have to pry it out of me. That's internet message board talk. I had coworkers for years that never knew I was into this hobby.

As much as I love my hobbies, they don't define me. There's always been someone better than me and always will be. I stopped caring decades ago.

Call me whatever you want. I have to respect you as a person before I respect your opinion. Being good at something doesn't mean I'll respect what you think. You can be talented and a douche at the same time. I tip my cap to skill. It's fun to watch. Doesn't mean I want to drink a pint with you.

With that said, please don't sit on the edge of the bowl with those stupid dyed tips and a pristine unscratched deck, trying to chat up the bettys. Shut up and skate. Or at least get out of the way.

I shrug off the kids on the vert that trash talk these days. When they get to my age, they'll be fat and bald. I've seen my classmates recently. Sucks to suck. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm having a good run and I know it. Better than I imagined... Evidence says that your decline will be steep and cruel. This dovetail is absolutely lovely.

I've been increasingly horrified at how mentally ill our country is when it comes to phatness. Watching clips of My 600 lb Life in horror is maybe to blame. (The complete insanity they say out loud to justify their actions is what bothers me the most.)

I checked in on my ex's facebook profile recently since it's been many years since we touched base and I was worried she might be dead. Disappointed to see she had decided to cross the 300 lb threshold - I just simply can't understand. If I ever got to the point where I stopped having a neck, I would simply stop eating as much.

Depression is the default state of a mind not being used for anything, and occupying it with actual hobbies has to beat shoving food into your mouth and passively absorbing media into your brain. I think it's like that thing Chapo Trap House always says, about how we have a monoculture where everyone's the same. Go to work, come home, watch TV, sleep.

It's literally that Black Mirror episode, Fifteen Million Merits.

There's more to it than just depression. People get addicted to eating. I have watched relatives become obese and they simply couldn't stop themselves. Sometimes it comes from having a mother basically force feeding you as a kid. I've seen the effects of that first-hand.

Bottom line is that there are a wide range of reasons for obesity, and it's an incredibly difficult thing to change because people's systems get used to eating too much and then their natural instincts for "I'm full" get all haywire and they just keep going.

I had a friend who got up over 600 lbs in the 90s (he started off 6'7", so a big boi regardless), and he went on a huge purge to reset his weight. Went on a crash diet for a few years and lost everything. Had his stomach stapled and the flaps tucked. Was doing awesome and looking great, but then a year later he had a heart attack and died in sleep from the strain the diet pills put on his circulatory system. Very upsetting shit.

Anyways, I feel you. I watched too many people eat and drink themselves to death to get anywhere fucking close to that in my personal life. I absolutely can't handle it.

I had one hell of a wake up call when I went for a check up, and stepped on a scale, and my BMI had crossed into the obese range. I was asking myself if I was okay with that, and the answer was a resounding “no.” I wasn’t going to normalize it. So I went on a pretty much salads only diet. I’ve shed 16 lbs so far this year, 9 more lbs to go to hit my goal of being in the moderate BMI range.

Congratulations man, that's amazing! Honestly, it's such a good thing for your health long-term. Getting old sucks, but it sucks even worse when you have all kinds of health complications and shit.

Thanks! I appreciate the kind words.

I definitely feel better since I’ve been eating better too. I want to give myself the best chance I can as I get older.
