I watched a couple of PS5 playthroughs by this YouTuber today. The emulation looks fine. Slowdown seems to match Saturn hardware. If input lag is on par with Elevator Action Returns, this should be a safe buy. I’m still curious to know who is distributing the US release.

Figures since Clear River is publishing in Europe. Really shitty that they (Embracer) have region exclusivity for the english Switch and PlayStation versions.

Yes, I’m really happy that SLG/Inin didn’t keep Rayforce out of the Japan and international releases of Ray’z. I’m planning on a bulk order from Play-Asia at some point this summer and I might toss Japan PS5 Leynos 2 in the cart when I do. I know it won’t amount to anything with regard to sales numbers for LRG/Clear River, but I already dislike the company/s and I don’t want to reward this practice.

Im amazed no one has ripped the files from the steam release and insert them on a saturn image to play it on actual hardware, the game is even using a cue+bin.

Seriously? I'll have to try that.

edit: The bin/cue are encrypted. It looks like someone has successfully decrypted the cue for previous Saturn Tribute games, but I haven't been able to find anything about the method used—there's a big thread on this over at the GBAtemp forums since people have been able to insert other Saturn games into the emulator and get them working.

Last night, under the influence of ADHD, this release crept back into my mind. I never picked up a Japan disc and I wondered if anyone might have the LRG release for cheap on Amazon or eBay or something. Nothing… I wondered, did it sell that poorly? Then I checked PSN to see if maybe the western digital release was on sale. No listing for ASL2. Only the first game’s remake is available. So wait, has LRG not even run their preorders yet? I checked their site. No mention of Leynos 2. Web search… just a twitter post from last year. Have the english language (US) Switch and PSN releases been kicking around in queue all this time because LRG hasn’t even set a date for the physical release yet?

Digital is on Steam and Xbox only outside of Japan.

Physical is due from Clear River Games but they've said nothing about it since the original announcement. It's still listed as "coming soon" on their website with a generic placeholder "2025" release date. However they have posted about Batsugun S-Tribute, which I thought they'd dropped entirely but nope - it's back on. So I guess if that's on, Leynos 2 will be behind it in the queue.
