Rgb mod help needed
Hi all I have been trying to mod a crt tv for rgb input and I have followed a general mux mod I have found on line but mine seems to not like the mod at all. The TV I'm trying to mod is a VIORE model CT13V10 chassis number CN-12C. As best I can tell the jungle chip is analog inputs. The data sheet on it isn't clear, it is a LA76814K. I am not using a scart connection if I can keep from it. The inline resistors on the rgb lines are 3.3k and the ground side ones are 680R. I have added them inline on my mod as 100R (using diodes on the inline resistors) fast blanking line is 3.3K inline and ground side is the same so it was added inline with the mod. All connections have 75R termination resistors on them. The problem I have is no osd at all if I turn something on (AV connection right now waiting on rgbs cables for PS1 now for rgb connection) I can press menu or volume and it will pop up black outlines of them but they are all black and the menu is just all blacked out. I can reverse the mod and all is good but soon as i add the mod back the problem comes right back. Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated very much thank you!

Can you draw a diagram of what you’ve done? Maybe take some photos include some images of the schematics if you have them.

Re: Rgb mod help needed
Mark, I'm fairly certain that this one is controlled by an EEPROM. If you check the datasheet on page 29-34 it outlines the programming. It shows that the OSD blanking pin is controlled by a control register. So I think this one is a no-go.

I'm just having trouble converting the words into a circuit in my mind. I work so much better visually these days.
I also thought if he made a diagram it might help him to spot the issue.
