Interesting selection of signed arcade pcb offerings -- will certainly fetch a pretty penny on the secondary arcade pcb collector's market (should they appear for sale if at all). A Cave documentary would be ace as well -- some possible signed Cave arcade pcbs would certainly spice things up indeed.

Got the code today, downloaded and watched immediately. It was pure gold, as I expected. Also saw some safe spots & tactics for Tatsujin I was not previously aware of.

Wish the higher rewards would still be available, because now I could proably afford them. Is there some sort of disclaimer that necessitates all this secrecy? Or could someone actually spill the beans about exactly what it is that's been shared with backers that you are all watching now?

Joseph plays Tatsujin, Yuge and Ikeda watch him play and talk about the game.

I got a few chuckles from it. Especially Ikeda's reaction of disbelief and despair to hearing how much of the game was solely done by Yuge (pretty much everything except the art) and Yuge's admission that instead of using the brief gaps in programming for sleep, he would go out on a drinking session. He was so hungover when showing it to marketing, he could barely play his own game.

A small but elite coterie of ultra-backers were also given an access code to an extensive Ikeda commentary on the design intricacies of Animals Gacha Race.
I’ve never been so wrong in my impressions of a game. When you really understand what’s going on under the hood, AGR is not only a full redemption of Cave Co. Ltd.’s post-SDOJ output - it’s a complete vindication of mobile gaming more broadly.
I’m sorry that it’s not in the cards for many of you to ever see it. Each copy is digitally watermarked with backers’ initials, and we all had to sign NDAs.

I was pleasantly surprised by how amusing the whole thing was. Occasionally hilarious. I would pay good money for the same thing to be done but with a pro player clearing Tatsujin Ou.Samildanach wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2024 1:29 pm I got a few chuckles from it. Aw, had hoped there'd be actual news.

Re: ATTN: All Toaplan-heads - Developer Documentary Project [KS]
If you want some news, here it is: it's really really really close to being done. Like super ultra platinum close.
Re: ATTN: All Toaplan-heads - Developer Documentary Project [KS]
That's not news at all. People say that stuff and then faff around for a year before anything gets out.
If they had an actual bluray release date, that would be news

Not quite, but an official statement like that is definitely a big step above "some guy on a forum said it"XtraSmiley wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 1:03 am Like this?

The step that has me worried is actually what comes after editing. Physical production, distribution, and various related legal obstructions can be a lengthy process for most smaller indie projects.
Looking forward to more news hopefully soon.

Kickstarter update from late January did say they intend to put the final edited version up on Vimeo for backers to be able to watch ASAP, so at least there’s that while we await completion of the physical production tasks.
