Famicom Titler RGB mod

Post by darkgunsou86 »

hello guys.
I got a Famicom Titler recently and I am looking to tap the RGB feature of the PPU.
Does anyone know what values of the resistors for the RGB lines?
No info are available for the values anywhere.
TIA guys.

Maybe try making temporary connections with a breadboard so you can try different values.

I'm pretty sure there's a guide in English out there by someone who did this mod. If I find it I'll come back with the link.

That said, a couple of things to consider: s-video quality from a titler is extremely clean, already very close to RGB. Nowadays you can just use an RGB Blaster and get RGB from Titler's that way (I've done it before, looks and sounds great). This latter round has the advantage of giving you clean audio, unless you happen to like the rather muffled sound from the Titler.

Thanks, guys.
I found an old post which specified 75ohm resistors.
Ifixretro had a post in fb on october this year in which he did the mod but he did not reply to my post when i asked about the resistors.
you guys are much better.
curious that the sound from the titler is muffled. i will definitely try the rgb blaster on the titler to compare.

Ifixretro seems to be more active on X, I get the impression he just re-posts on FB to help the visibility of his business
