Octopus Arcade Stick for shmups?
I'm looking for an arcade stick mostly for playing shmups on the MiSTer. Would the new Octopus Arcade Stick be a good choice? I have some of the other platforms it works with although I don't play them much since the MiSTer showed up.

It looks like a solid choice, but a bit overkill if you aren't planning to use the retro console support. You can probably find any number of cheaper sticks with Sanwa parts elsewhere.
I think most here prefer Seimitsu for shmups as well? I didn't really like the Seimitsu buttons I used on a Neo Geo stick at one point, though they were smaller than standard.

I believe you can change out the parts in the Octopus for Seimitsu although I probably wouldn't get around to it for awhile. Is there an ultimate arcade stick for shmups out there? Maybe with Seimitsu parts?
Very low lag is the most important thing for me and the Octopus seems to be focused on that although I haven't seen any measurements. If I get something else it needs to be focused on very low lag if USB, or if it has a console style connector I can use it with the Reflex Adapt into the MiSTer for 1ms lag.
