Funland has Raiden, Strikers 1945 and Strikers Plus. That's at Yonge & Edward, aka 1 block north of Dundas on the west side of Yonge.
Lovegetty has Raiden 2, Strikers 1945 2 and Gunbird 2. That's at Commerce Gate in Markham. It's on Highway 7 and you can get there from Finch Station with the YRT #1 Bus.
YorkU's Campus Cove has Dragon Blaze.
That should be self explanitory.
As far anything modern, there isn't too much in this city which is a shame.
When I was vacationing in Toronto (jan. 2000) I remember a giant arcade, I don't remember its name... where you could fill a time card and play all the games you wanted for 1 hour or more... and there were a BLOODY LOT of incredible games (it seemed to me way more impressive than Trocadero in London) - even a Namco Paragliding simulator all across the roof.
There were quite a few shooters there, some on big screen too, but sadly I can't remember which. I remember playing Hydro Thunder a lot though
Is it still alive? Hasn't it any shooter?

That was probably the Playdium location that used to be downtown, but it has since closed. There is still the one in Mississuga, though (not too far from Toronto).
Sorry for being OT, but I just want to vent about the Playdium which used to be in my city. That place sucked. It was 2 floors and gigantic, but the only shooters they had were Galaga and Raiden Fighters Jet with a 4-way joystick. Good riddance.
Playdium seems to be more about the crazy sports simulators anyway.
But you guys have a beatmania IIDX RED cabinet somewhere too, that should even out a bit :p
The only place that might have Beatmania might be Orbit at Pacific Mall, but I don't think it's Red.
Funland has an old version (5 buttons) but everything there is pretty old.

No, it's a recently-upgraded Happy Sky machine. The Marquee and everything else is based on RED though. Orbit also has... a 1944 Loop Master, Raiden DX, and 2 MAME cabs.

Ah it makes sense, my friend who played it said it didn't ressemble red in the least, add to the fact it actually said Happy Sky...eh

Orbit got 1944 and Raiden DX? How the hell did I miss that??
They're also getting DM and GF V3 this September.
MSZ: Raiden DX at Orbit has only 2 lives and the difficulty is bumped up a little. Continues are disabled as well.

If you're talking about Sky Games at FV, then it's closed along with the Raiden Fighters cab.
Now there seems to be one at the Elgin Mills movie theatre (oh boy) but that's a bit out of the way.
Strikers 1999 at Yorkdale is a nice way to kill time since it's pretty close, but that's a pretty challenging game so it doesn't last too long. I do think I'm one of the few people to actually use the X-36 however , or at least to know how to select it, apart from people on here of course.
Sorry to revive this dead thread, but its the most relevant I could find.
Just wondering if anyone knows what shmups are currently available in the GTA.... I've heard pacific mall Playcade has progear, and there is some at Lovegetty too?
