Anyone with a 29PT5026/79R Phillips CRT can help me??

Post by megafacehead »

Hi guys long time lurker. I just borked my phillips crt (whilst mucking in the service menu. It had slight geo issues so i went to the service menu (29PT5026/79R) 0-6-2-5-9-6 and Menu on the remote).

Looked complicated so i didn't touch anything and turned the tv off at the button on the front of the set (instead of with the power button on the remote-big mistake apparently). Turned back on and now the image is like a fishbowl!

In a panic i changed some 'options' values thinking this is where i could get rid of the bowing effect without jotting the originals down but little did i know these affect everything-what av i can access, what values i can and cant change etc. As it stands, i cant modify any geometry settings at all with the wrong options values i have inputted and again, i didn't record the original values.

I need someone with this EXACT model tv to tell me the options values for their set. Once i have these, i can then access the geometry settings and get rid of this fishbowl effect. If you could input the above code, jot down the 7 options values, and then turn your set off by pressing the power button on the remote it would really help me.

I'd be super grateful if anyone could help me out.

I've added a pic of another model showing the 7 numbers i need below, starting on the line under 'err'. These are the options values (opt1 through to opt7)

I've scoured the net for service manuals but none list the specific options numbers i need for my tele. I've tried values of similiar models and none work. Alot of similar models i have found here but again, not my exact set https://elektrotanya.com/philips_29pt50 ... nload.html

Sorry for the long winded post, just a bit upset :(. I've always been so careful to take mobile phone pics of settings before changing them but this i had no idea these 'options' values govern everything and cannot be reset.

Apologies for the necro, but did you ever get these? I'm up the exact same creek without a paddle :(
