I'm running a CRT Emudriver setup with a RGBVGA to S-Video transcoder from linuxbox300/wakabavideo:

The Composite output is pretty bad, but the S-Video looks great. However, I want to use this with a composite only CRT I have in the garage so I'm looking for a way to improve the image quality. I've been reading into the Extron YCS 100 and that seems like it might do the trick:

Can anyone vouch for it? It's not too expensive so I don't mind jumping on it, but I'd feel better knowing it actually worked decently first.

Re: Extron YCS 100 for S-Video to Composite output
Can vouch for it. The composite from the YCS will be miles better than from the linuxbox, however it will not be perfect, as no non-custom or adjustable composite encoding can be. Results will also vary depending on the source, but I imagine that the original RGB source from your computer should be relatively well behaved.
Definitely worth giving it a try if you can find a YCS for relatively cheap.

Awesome, thank you! I'll try the eBay one and see how it all goes.
