Extron RGB201RXI/ RGB203RXI Alternative?

Hi

I've owned 2 of these now and when they work they are perfect for what I need (vertical shifting) but both have gone faulty.

1 lost the blue signal and the other one has started losing signal intermittently.

So basically is there any other device out there that can horizontal and vertical shift the image like these extrons.

I've seen that function on some of those Aliexpress Scart switchers. I haven't seen it reliably implemented on any other professional level equipment. I wouldn't let a couple of bad units dissuade you from buying the Extron stuff. A lot of use have been using those same devices for many years without issue.

Ha had similar issues with my Extron RGB 201 and 203 units and colour channels going, I think a recap should fix it but I've not got around to it.

There's some impressions of that Aliexpress SCART shifter here: viewtopic.php?t=67642&hilit=timeharvest ... r&start=90 It can be hit and miss for some people.

MarcoRetro mentions the 'jiggle' issue for 480i in his review below but I've seen it at 240p also. I think it might come down to the CRT used as Tempest_2084 seems to have no issues and, iirc, it seemed to behave fine (at least for 240p) on my PVM.

Yeah, I dunno about other models, but my RGB 160 xi had leaky or cheap brand capacitors, except for 2 Nichicons on the main board.
My PSU is still dead even after a recap though, will test some more components when I get the time.

My set up would be PC 480p to UVC to Jamma picture adjuster for vertical shift (sharper picture) maybe ill just try a jamma one out , cheap enough.
