Been creeping closer to the R-Typer 3 no miss. Should be close now, I've managed to no miss the hardest stages in my campaign a couple of times. Had a good run just last night even, but I managed to crash on 4.0 of all places. Normally I beat that stage half asleep.
Also Granzella announced a new update coming this April. Seems to be minor stuff, like a new dlc ship and adjustments to the online components. There'll be more info sometime this March.

Finally got to meet Kujo briefly. He signed my crowdfunding version box and my Final 3 Evolved. It's a bit light and gold was a bad color choice, but too late now. I can't believe I forgot to even mention Kaitei Daisensou, but too late for that too. Spoiler
I think there might have been some stuff from the presentation today for this, but I couldn't tell because it was too loud inside to hear anything. lol Kujo being Kujo again. I've never seen anyone as bad at giving presentations as him, or at least I don't remember if I have. Quite possible given my abominably terrible memory, but Kujo is definitely a standout.
I am absolutely looking forward to Cosmos, though. It's the only game scheduled to release this year that I am planning on buying as of now. Then again modern gaming is so shitty that it's not like it has competition anyway.

I am SO hyped for R-Type Tactics Cosmos, and I wonder what caused the delay last year.

I don't think it is a stretch to say the R-Type is the most famous shmup name of all. Just thinking of people I know who don't play shmups, and even the names Gradius and Raiden are more likely to result in blank stares in comparison to R-Type.
I was going to say the original Raiden might be the most mainstream shmup since it was so ubiquitous in the arcades and it has the bog standard military theme paired with its rather incredible animations and visual splendor. But if I had to guess I'd think R-Type Final 1 & 2 were much more popular games than say Raiden III, IV and V. And yeah, R-Type's a GOAT in the genre, it's our Sgt. Peppers/Abbey Road, pretty much.
As far as modern entries go, Darius and R-Type carry a lot of weight, I think they're a cut above any newer releases in popularity for the last 10 years or so.

Finally got myself PS5 (I bought it from my friend for fair price), and went to see on the PSN store.
WTF? This is just a DLC for PS5 version of R-type Final 2? So now I have to buy R-type Final 2 AGAIN, this time for PS5, before I get to play this DLC?? I already bought the game for PC, Switch, and PS4. Having a purchased PS4 copy on PSN store but this one not recognizing it and instead of asking me to buy it again feels bit like.. ripoff
Is it really worth it? Should I really go and shell first almost 30eur for the base game, and then 7-9 eur for all the multiple DLC's? That would up the cost near to.. I don't even want to know
I bought the Final 3 evolved on my PC, by logging in PSN store. When it was bought, and the download appeared on PS5, the name of the game (in downloads) was "Final 3 evolved", but the screen image was for Final 2. That's why the confusion. So the blame does not lie with Sony, but Granzella.
That's weird because it's totally available normally or whatever in Japan. I was going to say Europe got screwed again, but who knows. Spoiler
BTW the PS5 versions of the extra courses should probably be way cheaper if you have the PS4 versions. I want to say they were like 22 yen each for me or something like that, but I don't remember. That in itself is somewhat weird, but that's how it was. No idea what happens if you do cross-region stuff.
