To request boss help...
Gamespot (US) is doing this lame mystery thriller skit how-to on boss fights video thing called Matt Rorie, Boss of Bosses.
http://www.gamespot.com/features/6152993/index.html
They're taking requests.
Someone should use it to get some shmup love or see if Gamespot can actually 1-Life bosses we may legitimately have problems with when needing a 1CC or 1LC. Score yourself some strategy-on-video by accident, ya know?
..or just laugh at boss fights the 14-year-olds are having problems with.
They'll probably keep it current gen US releases only...so that's...all of 6 games we can request...right?

I'm just waiting for one of their boss strategies to come back aslandshark wrote:But isn't the point to not credit feed/continue? Otherwise you wouldn't be asking for help?
"Well, just credit feed until the boss dies."
And then I will laugh...a lot...knowing all and well that gaming skill has truly died.

Alright, we get Middlemoor to request R-Type final, stage 4, that second part of the doppleganger boss blob thing* on R-Typer. That's the only boss I can think of that's a real pain in the balls that you need to have some sort of plan to drop kick.
*sorry if there's pop-up
Then we start a pot here to see if they say "Well, start the fight using Ragnarock 2"

Black Heart2, DOOM and Hibachi. Should make for interesting viewing.
But if they're going for solely Western released shmups, then Beacon (Gradius V, stage 7, first boss with the bouncy lasers), The End of the World (Shikigami 2, all forms of the final core-shaped boss), and one of the later bosses from Raiden 3. And perhaps Gluon from Psyvariar. (Gluon's bulletspam alone is enough to scare most newbies.)
