I ran into your videos of you testing different bee storm mechanics when I first got into it. The partial fence destruction one in particular made that section way more consistent for me. Thanks! There’s so little info out there on this game.

The 3 bil grind continues. Played only 1 credit this morning and hit a new high. Still havent gotten the ALL EX(just ALL). My deaths are coming late in stage 6 and during the extra boss. Need to clean that last bit up.

Getting reaaal close. I have the route, I think, for more than my target score. Finally got the extra boss down in a clean run. Scraped by with my last life.

The grind is over… kind of. Got a really good run in. Target score reached just before I downed the secret bee! I died at the very end of the stage 3 boss, but it only cost me 20-30 mil. My second, and final, death came at the beginning of the extra stage. I got really, really nervous when I realized I had the score if I could down the extra boss. I immediately flew into the closest available bullet, naturally. Luckily, because it was very early in the stage, I only lost 200-300 on the combo meter. I was recording inputs on this run so I should be able to edit in the inp file, and a good quality replay derived from it, at some point in the future.

Thought I’d be ready to move on after this, but now all I can think about is how close I am to having the highest occidental score. There’s a giant gap between western scores and the single Japanese super play I’ve been able to track down. I think I want to work on bridging that gap. The grind continues.

Made a little progress. Changed my stage 6 boss kill and started learning the game at low power. Bad deaths all over the place, but still got a nice bump from the new route. My current route maxes out around 4 billion, I think. I’ll have to learn more of the game at low power to go further. I’ll edit in a replay when I get a chance.

New route paying dividends. Fingers turned to jelly when I saw 4 Billion.

I settled on +2 Power-ups for Stage-3 for two reasons. First, I am able to achieve the same score as +0 power due to improved combo building at higher power. When I have the stage routed better I will will begin dropping power levels. Secondly, power-up drops are somewhat random in Stage-4. The short range hex turrets have a chance to drop either a bomb or a power-up. Sticking with +2 power, as opposed to +0, on Stage-3 makes powering up significantly more consistent.

I have all Stage-3 and Stage-4 Boss routed at +0. Going to start working on Stage-4's stage section in the next few days. New Goal is 5 Billion. I'll be working on a clean version of this clear until I can add in low power Stage-4.

Few small improvements. I believe this run features a new path through stage 5. The first half of the stage you will see improvements on combo meter management and cashing out full meters on the larger orange tanks, while using zako to maintain the chain without the need for focus shot. The second half of the stage is improved by making use of the large structures, on the left and right walls, to drastically increase my combo via point blanking and aura grazing. This is also the first time I’ve triggered the bee shower from the central structure near the end of the stage, I believe. 5 Billion down, 3 more to go.
