Wow, I guess I need to go back and play through it again. I managed a 1CC of the default mode/difficulty with the red ship, though I haven't gone back to do Retro or EX Retro modes yet.

Has anyone tried this on Linux or Mac? Looks pretty dope, but not sure if Steam Proton will make it easy for me.

The game keeps on growing. :)

Honestly this looks like 1000x the game that Contra: Operation Galuga is.

I've put around 8 hours in G Warrior so far. It is very well made and indeed more like an original 8-bit or arcade Contra title. In the games current configuration, with endless continues, you are intended to speed run. Though there are individual stage timers shown at each stage end there is also a hidden timer counting down the full run that is not shown. Your overall time spent will be posted after the ending credits. Since score is merely cosmetic in many run n' guns the dev has used time as a compelling method to get you replaying the game. If you are able to 1CC the game I calculate it can probably be completed in around 30 mins. The goal here, for any external leaderboard, will become who is the fastest.

EDIT: fixed some typos

That's pretty interesting. Seems like a nice middle ground between high skilled 1CC play and modern sensibilities.

Made it to the last boss on a credit feed, but gave up as i was getting late. Gana Blade is a lot of fun.

With regards to G Warrior - it is a good Contra clone and the last two levels of G Warrior were incredibly fun imo. Bargain price.

Finally fired up the demo version of Gana Force on Steam. It looks like an NES version of Gradius but with a bit more detail with the 2D sprite artwork going on throughout the stage. It seems that the buttons of A, S, D & F are your arrow keys while buttons of I & O are your fire button & option selection buttons -- is for Player One, of course.

----------
Tried hooking up an USB arcade stick but it seems to be "no dice" even if gamepad is selected through the Controls sub-menu selection found within the Options main screen setting.
----------

It seems that there are five different resolutions to choose from with the first one being 320 x 240 or something like it and going to option #4 & option #5 being the highest resolution setting.

The female pilots are your typical busty gals -- a lil' bit of sexiness to spice up the Gana Force stg indeed.

It'd be cool if Gana Force was released as a dedicated FC/NES indie stg title.
