I've got a really fringe case with a snsp 02 model console.
Long story short, I've tested over 500 games so far with zero problems to speak of
All but one, Earthworm Jim 2.
This one plays the music perfect, but sound effects have intermittent pops crackles screeches and other anomalies one would liken to a really old mp3 music file that has somehow survived a heap of copies over the decades to new disks. Hope someone knows what I'm talking about there.
One thing i have noticed recently is that this issue is particularly sensitive to temperature.. warmer is better.
The longer the system is running, the less the crackles beeps etc seem to play.
I attempted to cool the system by blasting it with very cold air for some time, it seems allergic and made the SFX much worse.
Very odd.
I have replaced all the capacitors, which really cleaned up the picture for sure.
Also have a spare 7502 as well, but seems unlikely to affect just ONE game?
Any ideas?
