Pi Zero 2 Recalbox Shader Settings for Scanlines

Post by Guile »

I was trying out Recalbox on a Pi Zero 2 and I can't get any of the shaders for systems like the NES or SNES to look even remotely decent. I just want the most basic horizontal scanlines. The only one that looked ok was crt-pi but it has a curvature effect with aliasing that I don't like.

I tried almost every option that said "scanlines" or crt. They produced a crosshatch screen door type effect, vertical scanlines (it was just called something like "scanlines" no mention of it being vertical), or a few huge black bars.

Some of the shader effects also don't seem to show up unless the shader scale is set to 2x.

It looks like a pretty generic Retroarch setup and I also have a Pi 4 with an older version of Retropie and can set scanlines normally. They don't look perfect but much better than what I can set in Recalbox so far.

Does anyone have any experience with Recalbox shaders and know how to set basic scanlines?

Well I looked again and I guess I missed an option. I just tried zfast_crt_standard.glsl and it's exactly what I wanted.
