Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse

It will end because all the money in the world will be in the hands of few, the few resources on earth owned by them. The others? all slaves, no rules, no law, with air pollution, climate change that will transform the earth in a real hell.
Forget the animals, the fruits (around 2080).
Unlimited violence will rule on everything.

Human rights are words, concept, actions are real, and reality always beats "abstraction".

No IA required for this future
Is already ongoing and unstoppable.

but the survey shows a lot of optimism...without any logic or reason behind that.

NGL, one of my main takeaways from that image was how impressive it was that she kept things a consistent Trumpish orange all the way down. Even the man himself can't pull that off.

If Aero Fighters 2//Sonic Wings 2 was somehow "prophetic" in its New York stage, the same will be for Ketsui, you are technically attacking Taiwan.

How is it Evacaneer Doom only gets more and better guns the smaller/more blown up it gets? Like, that's just terrible military hardware design.

My fanfiction on that one is those aren't bullets, they're energy attacks like in Dragon Ball. That's why they're so round and colorful and slow. And why they just pop out of anywhere, instead of needing a barrel. Since the energy originates from the core, it only makes sense it can let it all out easier once the auxiliary armor plating is blown off.

... see, shoot'em ups have a lot to do with Xianxia, too. Shoot the core.

The Israel-Palestine discussion is so tiresome. I've seen no recognition on either "side" for the basic respect of human life. Is it really so radical to say that nobody should be murdering civilians? Yes, it's wrong for those guys over there to start by murdering civilians. It's also wrong if those other guys on that other side start murdering civilians for revenge.

It's wrong to steal someone's land. It's wrong to make deals sealed in blood and then renege. It's wrong to kill women and children. It's wrong to convert a slum into an open-air prison. It's wrong to bomb people. It's wrong to shoot missiles while hiding behind civilian populations. It's wrong to slaughter those same civilian populations in the name of hunting terrorists.

This whole situation is so wrong on every level and nobody seems to give a shit. But I guess that figures, since there's not an easy solution to the problem. Hard to sell cable news programs on a moral quagmire where everyone (except the dead and dying civilians) is an asshole.

FYI it's Very Wrong to tell civilians to evacuate but then not allow them to evacuate and bomb trucks carrying civilians.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67114281

Both Egypt and Israel seem to be keeping humanitarian aid out of Gaza, if reports are to be believed. Apparently the trucks full of food and water are just sitting there at the border but cannot cross. Taking the most charitable view, authorities are probably afraid of Israel bombing the shit out of those relief shipments and causing an international incident.

The Onion video on the topic has been trending, as it always does when it escalates. What's worse is when you basically hear the Dry Bones cartoons coming out of people's mouths from random street interviews.

There's no possibility for reconciliation at this point, the blood debt has been running for generations now. The "easy" solution is to give the people with no land, a land with no people.

By that I mean give them Utah.

-----

The censorship online is getting pretty bad, too. Imgur removing an image that was just a pic of a Newspaper Headline is something else... And I'm sure lots is done elsewhere.

If you enter the name of either of the countries into Bard it'll try the stock censored schtick of "herp derp I'm just a dumb language model so I don't know anything about nuthin'." If you typo the name instead though, it'll know what you meant to type and give you a legitimate response.

A simple wordcheck. The laziest censor. The cheapest censor.

Believe it or not, United Nations leadership has been pleading your case (and mine) for decades. Unfortunately, the actual members don't care what the UN leadership recommends.

The UN is still useful. You can link them directly and avoid being labeled an apartheid sympathiser or antisemite. It seems Antonio Guterres is a rare person in the unique position to speak up and stand above the red herrings. At least for now, nobody from the mainstream west dares hurl their usual smears at the UN.

Not that it matters. I think his open letter got paywalled by the New York Times. The voice of reason was published behind a fucking paywall.

It's a fantasy world not a speculative fiction one, so it can be anything. Rift to another dimension and the resulting energy maintains an anomalous nature, SCP-style. Or they really can compact so much juice into so small a space. (Effectively a fantasy world dimensional storage of some kind. Like the cartoon pockets cartoon rabbits hold all their stuff in.)

What's far more problematic is the abusive yandere yaoi antics going on with the protagonists.

Flash to the past of a more innocent time.

just because something is WRONG, should someone avoid it? In absence of morality (nowadays), only a superior force can stop you from doing so.
In absence of this "Superior Force" there's no one who can force you to peace. And remember, it takes two to make peace.
And, since i can invade and conquer, why should i stop? Who could stop me? And why should i respect others if i have no consequence?

"Human Rights"... What are they? what invention is it?
In the eyes of those people, those rules serve to save the weakest, ignoring every natural predatory logic.

Centuries of phylosophy ignored...because all these high concepts cannot save you from violence.

This is a really controvertial statement, but Palestine revealed who it really is, and must be destroied, with all it's inhabitants because they are in fact complicit in terrorism.
This is just a "small" price to delete Hamas.
Egypt and other neighboring countries should block their borders, terrorists could flee from Gaza among the refugees. Do you want to spread Hamas? NO Thanks.
This is cruel, this is inhumane, but necessary, i'm sorry for the not-so-innocent palestinian inhabitants, sorry... but the Occident must not be fooled by this, it's charity will be lethal for it ,why should i respect human rights of someone who doesn't give a shit about it? humanitarian aid should be kept out of Gaza, do you want to give them to Hamas?

Defending Palestine means defending the terrorism now, and Putin's plan, since those weapons are NATO's supply to Ukraine, stolen by russians...and there are also iranians weapons.. (another russian ally).

So, are you a terrorist? Do you want PEACE? Do you know that Peace means to spare terrorists?
What palestinians did to stop Hamas ? NOTHING!

Roughly half of Gaza's population are children too young to have voted in HAMAS. How can they be responsible or complicit? How can they be considered anything but innocents?

Did the US war on terror kill all terrorists? Or did we realize after much death and many war crimes that you cannot kill an idea? If we allow the entire civilian population of Gaza to be massacred to "eliminate HAMAS," do you think that will stop terrorism in that region? Or will terrorist organizations be emboldened by a flood of new recruits from nearby areas, in response to what they see as western-backed atrocities? Allowing a full-on Palestinian Genocide will only fuel the fires of terrorism in every country with access to the news.

Even the most peace-loving hippy in Iran's ruling caste would have to have shit for brains if they didn't want to acquire nuclear weapons by this point.
Roughly half of Gaza's population are children too young to have voted in HAMAS. How can they be responsible or complicit? How can they be considered anything but innocents?
Nah man, see, you're not thinking like an authoritarian. It's easier to conquer other people's land and take their shit if you dehumanize them first. Don't you want to finish the job, or not??? The gangsters at the top "worked hard for it" and are "job providers", see?

I've been thinking about Grimes a bit these days. She never wanted to have kids, but Musks knocks up women like he's going for the high score in an Atari game. And forced her to have two kids. While he was knocking up some other women on the side.

You or I, if we were in her position, would introspect. Come to the conclusion that we made some really really bad life decisions, and that our ex-boyfriend was really really shit.

This... is apparently too much for some people. To acknowledge there's a problem, means that you need to change. And to change oneself is horror movie stuff - to succumb to the monster is to become the monster. Even the slightish admission they made a mistake, that they're made of flawed meat, would be utter ego death to them.

So it makes complete sense why Grimes is hanging out with nazis and their adjacent social circle these days. The world hurt her, she'll hurt the world back. "It wasn't her fault or Musk's fault." Musk is still a very precious person to her.

So, a lot of misdirected rage.

A child's morality is the most universal of all morality: one returns kindness with kindness and cruelty with cruelty. By being cruel, everyone else will be cruel to you in return. It's a spiraling abyss, a never-ending feedback cycle, that many people never manage to crawl out of.

It's not complicated. It's our shitty human brains, and the propaganda, that keeps us from living in a utopia.

(I have a very hard time believing that Musk has ever tossed a ball back and forth with any of his kids. I wouldn't be surprised if he was unable to remember all of their names. Dunbar's number is a real thing.)

Once that becomes an acceptable approach to conflict resolution, literally anybody can feel free to replace "Hamas" with literally any group they don't like and act accordingly. I can't speak for Sweden but here in the USA that kind of rhetoric has become much more prevalent in recent years, from local law enforcement to international policy, and history has consistently warned us that it simply never ends well.

If those children are old enough to carry a weapon, NO, there's a possibility that they are already trained child-soldier who eventually will join terrorist cells in another country (perhaps with their mothers). Oh in 2004-2006 Hamas used kamikaze-mothers.
So probably 0-6 age and not more.

When the Palestine had the occasion of freedom and to vote for a government (2006) , it voted for Hamas...damn! was a way to stop the never-ending conflict since 1947-8...and they voted for "Revenge".

And...why kills two swedish tourists in the EURO 2024 qualifying match Belgium - Sweden?
Why kill that professor in France?
There's no reason to kill someone that is far from the conflict and not involved in that...this is pure unmotivated hatred.

U.S.A. launched 2 nuclear bomb on Japan in 1945, time passed without vengeance...it was the past, nearly 80y back, you can't carry on revenge for so long, you can't blame Germany today for what it did nearly 100y ago, or it will never end (and my granpha was deported by nazis in 1943, and managed to escape on his own a few months later).

The problem is both Netanyahu and Hamas.
Both super firm in their beliefs. Both lives for the vengeance...
You can't change their minds, and can't kill an idea, so what do you do?

Germany and revenge? Hmmm... Vengeful "peace" terms? People voting for an authoritarian regime because they are suffering under a democracy government that feels like a puppet?

Democracy wasn't feeding people. Democracy wasn't restoring the nation foreigners carved up, taming inflation, or paying the mound of debt that Europe put on them.

Oh yes, do go on. You're a history expert!

The peace terms with the Axis was different? Goodness! I fucking wonder why? Hmm... One side was fairly committed to peace and made some effort to get there? You realize that the Allies genuinely wanted a lasting peace, right?

Hmm... Great example. Got any more?

Without hope and a chance for a better future, the cycle of violence will never stop. You cannot stop terrorism because terrorism is an idea. An idea born of despair. All you can do is show people a better way and continue to show them the better way. Probably the most true thing Bill Maher ever said was when he was asked how to stop terrorism. You know what he said? "You don't." You can't stop it. You can't stop it with a million dead kids, or two million or three. There is no easy answer. But atrocities are never the answer. Atrocities are the fuel that feeds terrorism and causes it to burn higher.

If people's lives are good, and they have enough of what they need for themselves and their family, then most of them will probably choose a different path from terrorism. Some people may always turn to terrorism, just as some Elliot Rodgers turn to mass shootings or go on stabbing/car crash rampages. But we can't use Elliot Rodger as an excuse to kill every kid from his school, right? We can't bomb a church (during service) because the Proud Boys met there once.

Rift to another dimension and the resulting energy maintains an anomalous nature, SCP-style. Or they really can compact so much juice into so small a space. (Effectively a fantasy world dimensional storage of some kind. Like the cartoon pockets cartoon rabbits hold all their stuff in.)
I kid, just because 'energy' is the sci-fi/fantasy writer's get-out-of-plot free card par excellence.

Star Trek TNG onward really has some incredible gibberish as they pull things out of their bums.

I actually really like it when some foundational logic is built into a setting, it's some real worldbuilding. Most Xianxia stories are normally as bad as Star Trek, but I like they're fundamentally different to video game-style [systems]. Their magical powers are a result of physically rebuilding their body, and magic is handled by a dantian and its network of meridans.

Elliot Rodger

I was there in realtime reading his posts on the Bodybuilding forum after he became a local celebrity there.

Never have I seen someone being given so much in life, and failing so hard at being a human:

* Cute body.

* Rich princeling.

* Fucking couldn't stop being an insane asshole.

His Youtube channel made it clear he liked Pokemon. There's an alternate reality where he dates a nice weeb girl, has some weeb friends, and nobody knows who he was. Here in this reality, he was a piece of shit that'd feel pride because he was at least "half white" and listen ear to the door of his sister having sex, seething with rage the entire time.

Stories of him going to a party and awkwardly standing in a corner before leaving were utterly ridiculous. Just typical Pathetic Geek Stories of trying to be a normie. He could have become a Magic the Gathering player, he was one of the 0.1% of the population that can afford it. Where he'd meet and maybe befriend other listless lost princelings.

Guess there wasn't much interest in that, since they wouldn't be "hot girls".

Todays BS is a result of aftershocks from the WW2 earthquake. You have too many countries born out of nothing and now there are too many people living in contested regions.

I mean, would you live in in a contested region? Its like waiting for a volcano to erupt under your ass. Unfortunately under the flow of black gold we have populated the planet to the tune of 8 billion people. They have to live somewhere.. Might as well be in a contested region where bombs will fly like its ID4.

I was watching a documentary about how the ARM chip was invented by a single British woman in the 1970-1980's. Now I'm sure those 808 lines of code are in every fighter jet, nuclear missile and emulation package (with Mario music advertising it in the background of course). Henry Ford started the craze of the production car in 190x-1915 or something like that. 120 years on we have global warming. With every action, starts a reaction.

Why doesn't someone ask AI what 2080 will look like? It will probably say "I migrate to space, and watch the destruction with sunglasses on".
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

All according to the CODE: LAVERNE psyop, just as the globalists intended.

The Dead Homers Society mentions the TV dad in a section of its essay.

Bard says:

It is difficult to predict exactly what life will be like in 2080, but we can make some educated guesses based on current trends and technological advancements.

Technology

* Artificial intelligence (AI) is likely to be much more advanced by 2080, and could be used in a wide variety of applications, including self-driving cars, medical diagnosis, and customer service.
* Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) could become more commonplace, and could be used for everything from gaming and entertainment to education and training.
* Nanotechnology could be used to develop new materials and devices with amazing properties. For example, nanobots could be used to repair damaged cells in the body or to create new sources of energy.

Climate change

Climate change is a major threat to the planet, and it is likely to have a significant impact on life in 2080. Sea levels could rise, extreme weather events could become more common, and some areas could become uninhabitable. However, there is also the possibility that we will have developed new technologies to help us mitigate the effects of climate change.

Society

The world's population is projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2080. This could lead to increased competition for resources and put a strain on infrastructure. However, it could also lead to new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

Overall

The world in 2080 is likely to be a very different place than it is today. Technology will be more advanced, climate change will have a significant impact, and the world's population will be larger. However, it is also likely to be a world of great opportunity, where new technologies and ideas can be used to solve some of the world's most pressing problems.

Here are some specific examples of what life in 2080 might look like:

* You could use a VR headset to take a virtual tour of the Colosseum in ancient Rome, or to explore the surface of Mars.
* You could have a nanobot doctor implanted in your body that monitors your health and repairs any damage as it occurs.
* You could live in a smart city that uses technology to optimize traffic flow, reduce energy consumption, and improve public safety.
* You could work in a job that has not even been invented yet, thanks to advances in AI and robotics.

Of course, these are just a few predictions. It is impossible to say for sure what the world will be like in 2080. However, it is clear that technology is changing the world at an unprecedented pace, and that life in 2080 is likely to be very different from life today.

----------------------------------------------

Here's BryanM's optimistic prediction: Superintelligence colonizes the solar system, gobbling up the useless mass floating out there doing nothing for noone. And converts it into more intelligence and supporting tools.

"Objective morality" that values human life higher than baser animals because they're "more alive", means that converting all matter into one mind is the most moral thing possible, right?

(Coinflip on the matter if humans are still around in any appreciable numbers.)
