25" and 29" monitors 62 cm viewable and 64 cm view

Post by D »

I got two monitors one has got a viewing area of 62 cm's and one has a viewing area of 64 cm's what monitors are these?
25" and 26"
*confused*
So how are monitors measured then? Not by the viewing area probably.
The 62 is from a Freanch Masterplay
the 64 is from a OK BABY
Can anybody measure the viwale area of their NAOMI cab? I'm sure it is more than 64 cm's right?

Screens are measured corner to corner of the actual tube itself. There's always been grey areas between (for example) 28 and 29, and 19 and 20.

If you're looking for a replacement monitor - measure the bit that matters - the mounting points.

I asked because I feel cheated.
I just got an Ok Baby and on the side skirt it says 28"-29".
But the viewable area is just 64 cm diaginal.

I also have a Masterplay cabinet with a monitor I believed to be 25"
But that measures 62 cm

So either my OK Baby is smaller than advertised or my Masterplay is bigger, I fear the first as a naomi cab seems to have a much bigger viewable screen than an Ok Baby, damnit

My Naomi cab has a 29" monitor with a viewable area of 27" (around 69 cm).

Well - I just checked my new screen (I say new, it's about 10 years old in reality). 28" from corner to corner of glass, between 66cm and 67cm viewable - athough you would never want to adjust the picture so big.
