HDK's factory?

Post by sven666 »

yeah how many releases did they have? i know of Guwange, metal slug X and psyvariar.

is this somehow sanctioned or completely unnoficial releases like the namiki ones, they seem a tad too well done for something completely amateur made?

are they still around?

For sven666,

Did HDK Factory have a hand in producing Success Corporation's Reverse Babel Label version of Psyvariar Appreciate DVD Vol.1 or produce an entirely seperate Psyvariar Medium Unit Superplay video? If so, that's major new news for me... ^_~

no they produced a separate VHS and booklet combo, i think it is played by ISO.

they also did a guwange + 2 books combo by SWY and the metal slug x (dunno if it came with a book?) i cant remember who plays on thatone tho.

theyre pretty highquality productions and captures (for VHS ;) ) with omake sections and all.

the psyvariar DVD is made by the "appreciate" team if i remember correctly..

I've also seen HDK's tapes for Strikers 1999 and Raiden Fighters Jet.

The Metal Slug X player was HAM-HAM.

I thought production quality was quite low. Some omake bits at the start of the tape, then full run. No intro, nothing fancy at all.

Yes, they are doujin (unofficial).

Anthony, you might recall, that Guwange tape I sent you for DVD transfer many years ago... that was HDK's Factory.

For oxtsu,

Yes, I do recall that Guwange tape was, indeed, HDK's Factory version. And that it has Macrovision anti-copying protection scheme built-in -- surprising for such an extremely rare low-budget doujin VHS tape production anyways.

Sure, production quality could've been better -- it's not that hard to do it (but if all one has is sub-par A/V equipment to record such a "masterful Superplay run", then so be it). ^_~

cool, and well the quality is low if compared to gamest but compared to other duojin releases it definetly ranks amongst the top imo.. but yeah i guess it wouldnt have killed them to add somesort of CG logo at the begining..

Sorry for ressurecting this old thread.

I collected 5 HDK Factory VHS tapes :

- Guwange
- Psyvariar
- Metal Slug X
- Raiden Fighters Jet
- Striker 1999

Production quality, like said before, is low. For shmups VHS, you have to turn your screen for Tate mode.
I love it when a bullets pattern comes together.
