Hori RAP VX SA Kai - how to replace a joystick

Hey, guys.

I need help on replacing the joystick in my Hori Real Arcade Pro VX SA Kai (wow, that's a mouthful) - I took out the Sanwa JLF included with it because, frankly, it's a stick I can't stand, and I want to use either a Seimitsu LS-56-01 or LS-40-01 (preferably), but I have no means of securing it into place. All I have is a fixed mounting plate seemingly welded to the underside (along with all the buttons connected) and no matter what screws, nuts and bolts I use, I just can't seem to secure it into position. What am I meant to do? Please help.

If it's like the PS3/360 RAPs, you should be able to attach a Seimitsu S-plate, but the screw holes in the RAP may need to be threaded first.

Can you take a photo of the mounting plate that's in there? I have a couple Hori VX SA sticks, but not the Kai versions, so I can't guarantee they're the same.

Depending on what you have though, if there's screw holes you can screw into, maybe a universal mounting plate might help?

I believe you would need a M4 x 0.7mm pitch tap (like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0002JT0WI/ ), going by this Japanese page about putting a Seimitsu in the VX SA: https://blog.goo.ne.jp/haru009-s/e/9bc1 ... 708016af36

I fitted an ls-40-01 in mine. Hot swapped, nothing to besided a few screws in and out
Even the cable harness is the same.
plug and play Should also fit an ls-56 then!
