PS1 Audio crackling

Dear All,
My PS1, which is heavily modded (PicoPSU, XStation, RetroGEM, fully recapped) produces crackling in the sound when connected to the analog output (tested with original composite cable + Retro Gaming Cables RGB cable).
Could this be an issue with my RetroGEM soldering on the audio DAC ?
There is no problem when connected to HDMI ...

I would probably ask in the PixelFX discord, they might know better. Pictures of the audio portion of the flex and careful continuity testing on the pins would also be good.

Did you do all those mods at once? It will be hard to track down the issue if thats the case.

Yes unfortunately, all these mods have been done at once except for the recap.
I will trace the pins of the DAC and see...

Should be able to reverse the PicoPSU for testing right? There can be a lot of issues with those depending on where you got them from.

According to your advices, I went on Pixel's FX Discord channel and found that this issue is also present for the other members with the same configuration ! So the issue seems to be related to the RetroGEM...
Chriz is investigating on it !

Yes my PS1 model is a SCPH-5502 (PAL - PU18 Motherboard)
