Hi i'm wondering if anyone knows what the best gpu is that can support 480i component output, i currently have a Radeon HD3650 but its s-video output isn't amazing. Google is terrible for searching for this and I haven't found much. I have seen there are mini din cables 7 and 8 pin cables that output to 3 rca presumably for component but cant find much information about compatible gpus but i have seen some gpus with the port although its hard to know if its the minidin port or an svideo
I did find these adapters that support several radeon gpus but these gpus are pretty terrible so trying to find the best option
You want to look at the Radeon HD5450s. They are not terrible, they are actually the best available for MAME / 15KHz compatibility. Cheap as dirt. Have HDMI and VGA and/or DVI out. They work down to 240p/480i with CRTemudriver. Not sure if they support component over DVI but you can get VGA to component adapters quite cheap.
Ive seen add-on adapter cables before (I think I had a Geforce FX 5000 series that had it) that output component, but overall pretty rare. Not worth the search when the one you finally find is likely not putting out 480i anyways. OP is looking for a Radeon 5450 with the proper connectors.

The GTX 285 was the last high-end NVIDIA card that could output Composite/S-Video/Component through a DIN connector.
I'll check this out thanks

I know a bunch of cards can work this way but having to deal with adapters and third party software seems annoying lol, thats why i asked for natively
Your HD 3650 will output 480i component over that DIN connector. That DIN supports composite, s-video, and component via those 8 pins.
But truthfully, you should get over your aversion to third party software, especially if you're interested in using your CRT for playing actual games.
CRT Emudriver supports 240p and all kinds of whacky arcade resolutions, like 256p 55hz for R-type. Plus it runs Switchres to get perfect refresh rates in GroovyMAME and Retroarch
Once you have that setup with a RGB>YPbPr transcoder, you'll be glad you did it.

Oh i didn't know that, ill see if I can get it working. Well I dont really need the pc for games I have plenty of old consoles. the pc is only really for my 3ds capture card so i can connect that lol. Okay tested my card as I have the cable I can get video out but it only has red/green no blue
