Hi!
So I just recently bought an rgb cable from https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/neo ... CART-CABLE
When I connect it to my PVM the image I get is rolling on the PVM screen. Typical sync problems.
Does anyone know if I can modify the Virtual Tap installation or the cable I bought to get it working?
Or does anyone know where to buy a proper cable?
I followed and wired like this:
http://furrtek.free.fr/virtualtap/manual_v1_en.pdf
here is what i get a neo geo aes cable is supposed to look like. I don't know what retrogamingcables wired theirs.

Where can I buy a cable which is wired accordingly to the virtualtap required installation?
Proper cable for the Virtual Boy Virtual Tap (RGB Scart)
Re: Proper cable for the Virtual Boy Virtual Tap (RGB Scart)
Edit:
I solved it. I opened up my Virtual Boy Virtual Tap installation and desoldered pin 7 and soldered it to 3 instead as retrogamingcables neo geo cable has composite video on that pin.
Works like a clock now!:

and via gscartsw i can output to the retrotink5x and get image out in HDMI also!

Nice
Looking at that manual it says that it has two options to convert 50 to 60Hz. But does it not support 50Hz output? I would imagine that it stutters like crazy when doing framerate conversion.

What a nice mod! And so cool you are running it on a PVM!
I would love to have one. Anyone selling their scrapped VB?

It feels pretty solid to me. Finished Jack Bros on the PVM. But it is running quad buffering by default so there is some lag accoreing to the manual. 20-37ms. Without quad buffering its always 20ms.Konsolkongen wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 7:10 pm Nice
