Looking for a few old Japanese freeware games:

Post by spaceveteran »

Hey all. I’m looking for some old freeware games that have gone off the map.

The first is the first Jaguar game (2001) by Ham Corossam. Interesting game as it uses assets from a cancelled PSX shmup called strike jaguar.

Second, I’m looking for two games from weva quadrant called Soll Dega and Melissa from 2005.

Of the two, only soll Dega has videos on the net:

I’ve been unsuccessful in finding those 3 for some time now and I hope you guys can help out. It would be a shame for them to be forgotten.

Thanks for your advice.

This repository thread for Windows XP era doujin games has Jaguar 2nd Stage and Jaguar EX Hell Fire. Doesn't seem to have the other two you mentioned though.

Yes, we already have the second stage and hellfire games, but the first jaguar from Hamcorossam predate both, as it was done in 2001.

This one is a bitch to find.

I believe the two others from Weva (or at least soll Dega) might have been at some point in a shoot the core backup that was advertised here somewhere back in the day. Sadly Postman has no idea where or to whom the backup went.

Great news for all: thanks to the work of Lawro and Gibbeousmoon of HOTU, the Weva games are downloadable on his blog:

Get them now and spread them while they are up. They will remain for two weeks.

Those two have eluded me for quite a while.
